15.01.2022 SAV is going on holidays! It has been a great year supporting stroke survivors and we look forward to another productive one in 2015. We hope you have been able to catch up with some of our new initiatives and stroke survivor stories throughout the year via our newsletters or in the media. Have a wonderful holiday and festive season.... We will be taking a break between 24 December and 5 January. All the best wishes from everyone here at SAV!
14.01.2022 Book review: How I rescued my brain by David Roland. David was a forensic psychologist before his stroke. David explores the complexities of the mind, conscious...ness and neuroscience and relays it in a way everyone is able to understand. Cheers Jane McKinley, NSF Project Officer WA for reviewing David’s book. http://ow.ly/FWMl1 See more

11.01.2022 Support the Stroke Association of Victoria by purchasing a burger at Grill'd in Degraves St Melbourne during February. http://www.grilld.com.au/localmatters/
05.01.2022 We’ve been selected to participate in Local Matters at Grill’d Degraves St this February! Local Matters is the Grill’d community donation program that sees each Grill’d restaurant donate $500 back into the community every month. The donation is split between 3 local community groups $300 / $100 / $100. HOW YOU CAN HELP?... We’d love your support in receiving the highest $300 donation! Simply head to Grill’d Degraves St during February, for a burger and pop your Local Matters token in our jar. The group with the most tokens at the end of the month receives the largest donation. It’s a simple (and delicious) way to show your support! You’ll find us on a jar at Grill’d Degraves St, 15 Degraves Street Melbourne.

01.01.2022 Stroke Awards 2014: The unsung heroes of stroke have been celebrated with awards ceremonies in Melb, Qld and NSW yesterday. Each and every one of the survivors,... carers and health professionals recognised do an absolutely phenomenal job - either reaching their own goals and aspirations or helping others to reach theirs. I could wax lyrical about these amazing people all day, but I don’t want to inundate your feeds so read all their amazing stories here: http://strokefoundation.com.au/stroke-awards-2014/ See more
