22.01.2022 Self care isn’t selfish, it’s essential. That’s exactly what I’m doing today- taking the time to go for a walk with my dog and just switch off for a while. Sometimes life gets hard and can wear you down but the self care makes it possible to keep going. Self care comes in a lot of different shapes and sizes and there’s no right way- but so important to listen to your body and fill up your own cup before you fill up someone else’s. 20.01.2022 2020 has certainly been a year to remember for sure. So much of what has happened is difficult to grasp. Including what is happening right now with the anti-racism protests. It’s hard to know what to say, but we know we have to say something. What has happened, and is happening, to people because of the colour of their skin is horrendous. Here at strong, 2/3 of our team are black and while I (Rose) may not understand; they do. It’s horrifying to think that our kids are go...ing to grow up in this society thinking it’s normal. Thinking our skin colour dictates our worth. Racism is everywhere and we ALL must stand up against it. If we ALL stop tolerating those little remarks about being black, the appropriation of black culture when it suits us, if we actually challenge the fundamental belief system of racism, we can bring about change. When someone says something racist and your stomach drops - that’s your conscience telling you it’s wrong. ACT on it. Call people out on this shit even if it makes you uncomfortable. Make a promise to be better and do better. The world needs more love, not hate. We need to speak up. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. See more
19.01.2022 Nice little booty & ab burner to finish off the session. ft. doggos 10 x hip thrusts ( straight into 10 x knee pulses) and then another 10 hip thrusts 10 x banded clams each side 20 x kick outs ... 20 x ankle taps 20 x crunches Repeat x 3! 01.01.2022 Everybody has dreams & goals, usually getting so focused on the end goal that they fail to see the amazing progress they’re making to get there. I myself am guilty of this. It’s good to realise your mistakes but most importantly to learn from them. So to anyone out there that needs this as much as I did, be sure to Enjoy every step of the journey, accept that it won’t go as perfectly planned out just keep that big picture in mind, surround yourself with people who feed your soul & do to others what you wish onto yourself, importantly have faith & BELIEVE in the process & YOURSELF!
