23.01.2022 PLEASE READ & SHARE Seems that my number has been hijacked and is being used to scam people. The poor lady that got "my" call was a retired lady who obviously was not happy. But we had a chat, and seems that a friend of hers got a call from my number 2 days ago and blocked it.... So if you get a call from a number the below number, apologies, it is not me - it is a bunch of wankers who are trying to scam you from an international location. The screen would look like this as you get the call: >> 04XX-XXX-710 >> Australia Just be aware - as I had a call from the "ATO" earlier today, as well as numerous calls for solar rebate, and all the other bullshit from people by the names of David, Frank and Michael etc - who all sound Indian, with fellow indian colleagues in the background. 22.01.2022 LOOKING FOR 10 LOCAL WOMEN/MUMS FOR OUR FINAL TEST PHASE FOR OUR ONLINE PROGRAM Over the last few years, I did some testing on my online transformation program. This was mostly for those who had access to weights or the gym.... The Alpha testing was purely done through manual mode, which was all programming and calculations of requirements were done through spreadsheets & clients were measured at our studio in Glen Waverley (at the time). With our trials running for up to 12 weeks, we had some amazing results for our test clients. Beta Testing was done at the start of last year, with part usage of our in studio app (the same app) we used for our studio clients. Again, the results were great for the 8 to 12 week trials. ** THE PHOTOS BELOW ARE FROM OUR TEST PARTICIPANTS ** So, now with everything that is happening with covid-19, we are tweaking the program again to help clients out while they are at home. This time, we will be setting up the program fully through our App, and will also be programming it for clients who have no weights at home! Would you like to be a part of our final 4 week testing process? Please note that this program will require you to: - Train at-least 3 times a week - Follow a simple but effect meal plan - Do measurements at home - Take before and after photos - Be available for weekly check-ins with me to see how you are going. 16.01.2022 [THE ROAD BACK] Well, happy to say that things are looking good for the road back to in studio training again. We have had clients ask us what we will be doing, so here is our process.... At the moment, we will be monitoring the current status of how Step 1 pans out (see image below). Certain countries have been experiencing a second wave of covid-19 outbreak after the public had been told of easing of restrictions. So keeping that in mind, even though we want life to start getting back to normal with regards to our clients being healthier, fitter and stronger - our view is that Step 2 is a better outlook with respect to opening our gym. So what does this mean for clients? For the rest of the year, we will be largely focusing on keeping things safe for clients. So: - 1 on 1 and Semi-Private training (up to 4 people) - Online support & coaching through Facebook Group and Zoom - Online programs - Plenty of hygiene stations around the studio to wipe down equipment and sanitise hands & still practicing the 1.5 mtr rule where we can. As our studio is small - Spots will be quite limited, and we will be carefully selecting who trains based on a new set of selection criteria. Thanks all.

13.01.2022 If you are training hard, and have a little one that is still being breastfed, don't be afraid to consume just a little bit more calories in your day. Women need to have adequate nutrition so that they can not only have enough fuel to kick butt in the gym, but also ensure that their production of breast milk stays constant. It is all about the energy the body needs, and all about the quality of nutrition that fuels the body.

Foam Rollers are an amazing alternative to getting a myofascial release done. Yeah, I know, it doesnt beat just having to lie there and have someone work your neck, shoulders, back, hips, legs etc - however, with this one, you can spend as much or little time as you want on various parts of your body, and come out feeling pretty amazing. On the other side of using this as part of your exercise routine is to use it as a warm up or cool down process. Personally though, I use it to relax my body after a long day. As I am in front of the computer a lot to do work related stuff, research or just reading in general - I find that this helps me to release all the tightness from around my glutes/hips and upper back/shoulders. Highly recommended for just an end of the day/night routine while you watch your favourite TV program or watching your favourite YouTube Channel

11.01.2022 A little tip for today! When doing pullups/chinups, make sure that you are bringing your upper chest as close as possible to the bar. This results in a squeeze of the shoulders and sharper contraction of the back. Similarly, when using the lat pulldown machine, you want to bring your chest up to meet the bar.... 07.01.2022 Your Daily Workout Here is your work out for today - Upper body workout. For this one, you would need a theraband and/or resistance band with handles and a kettle bell (skipping rope is optional).... These can be purchased from Kmart for quite a decent price and will last for a while - great investment if you dont have weights at home. Warm up for a couple of minutes by a walk, on the spot jogging or skipping (something to get your heart pumping). Bicep Curls - 1 Minute x 3 rounds. Take your time with reps - do normal pace, but if its too easy with your band, slow the tempo with a (Normal concentric movement, 3 sec eccentric movement a.k.a release). KB Swing - 20 second on/10 seconds off - 8 rounds Band Press - 1 Minute x 3 rounds. Slow tempo if need be on the eccentric movement a.k.a release. Band Row - 1 Minute x 3 rounds. Slow tempo if need be on the eccentric movement a.k.a release. Band Flyes - 1 Minute x 3 rounds. Slow tempo if need be on the eccentric movement a.k.a release. Remember with this to keep your arm extended a bit more, and elbow bent slightly to let your inner chest to squeeze the concentric motion. ---------- Band Pushups 1 Minute only - super set after last round of Band Flyes. Finisher - Single Arm Alternate KB Swings - 1 minute x 3 rounds. Enjoy :)
05.01.2022 My son was bored - so we decided to do a little work out video together. He was my weight buddy - and I was just as they call it "Daddy ride". To explain what a "Daddy Ride" is - its a vehicular system that apparently just zooms around the oval for hours on end ... Edit: I realise my technique is out and what not - thats the pitfall of using a kid as weight lol
04.01.2022 This is such a liberating stretch for anyone who wants to just free up the hips and release tension or stress around the pelvic area. 1. Sit upright with legs stretched out. 2. Bend one leg and place the ankle on the top of the other leg (around the lower thigh region). 3. Engage the straight leg by flexing the foot. This helps to keep a better balance.... 4. Flex the foot on the bent leg to engage muscles, gentle press down on the knee with one hand while supporting the ankle with the other. 5. Hold firm with the press for 3 slow, deep breaths. 6. Release hold, and gently bounce knee up and down to engage the joint movement. 7. Slowly bend forward, engaging your core, and travel as far as possible to lengthen the spine (use your hands to reach to the foot of the outstretched leg) 8. 04.01.2022 Your Daily Workout Hey all here is todays work out for you and your family :) Again, I am putting these up as part of the free/complimentary week training as I get the online systems sorted this week.... This particular one is Short sharp n sweet :) - and awesome for a full body quick fix - your heart will be pumping fast, and your body will be burning crazy! Warm up: 2 minutes - nothing big, skip, walk, star jumps, stair ups etc. Alternative Lunges - 1 minute x 3. (If you have been instructed by a physio/osteo not to do lunges, do fast squats) Pushups with shoulder taps - 10 to 12 reps x 3. (If you cant do on your toes, do on your knees) 50 Toe Taps (as fast as you can) Tricep Dips - 10 to 15 reps x 3 Calf raises - 20 reps x 2 Finisher - 5 explosive sprints - 3 rounds. (The key to this one is to sprint as hard as you can for just a few meters, back jog and go again - increases the heart rate very quickly - and you feel mentally better, and like a bad ass ;) ) Finish with a cool down and stretch. So remember only go out for things that are absolutely needed (supermarket, pharmacy, doctor visit etc).
