23.01.2022 Recipe Friday with Coach Liz Dukkah Chicken and Quinoa Salad 1 cup Quinoa cooked to packet directions... 2 medium carrots cleaned and cut into cubes Olive oil cooking spray 500g Chicken ( no skin) 2 TB Dukkah 1/4 cup fresh Orange Juice 1/4 cup fresh parsley shredded 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves shredded 2 Green onions sliced 2ts Olive oil Method: 1. Cook Quinoa to packet directions add 2 ts olive oil once cooked and set aside. 2. Coat Chicken with dukkah 3. Spray Pan and cook chicken and set aside 4. Grill carrots till just soft 5. Add Carrots, Orange Juice, Mint, Parsley and Green onion to cooked Quinoa. 6. Top Salad with Chicken 7. Enjoy

CRAVING PASTA? try the fiber/protein-rich varieties made out of lentils or chickpeas (these are surprisingly filling!!!!). ... OR, use spiralized veggie noodles they are literally everywhere now in the grocery stores, fresh and frozen. Tip: try using zucchini or eggplant slices in your lasagna. CRAVING ICE CREAM? try whipping up a frozen dessert bowl with 1 cup frozen berries and to cup of your favorite milk. Blend in scoop of your favorite protein powder for more oomph! Scientists think that playing the game distracted them long enough for cravings (which usually last just a short while) to pass. In a study published in the journal Appetite, college students who were having cravings either played a video game or waited for the computer to load. A quarter of the game players reported their cravings went away. Note: it doesnt have to be Tetris, according to the researchers. It can be anything that requires focus and has plenty of eye-grabbing visuals!

Preheat oven to moderate 2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, Brussels sprouts and garlic. 3. In a small bowl, whisk oil, vinegar, salt and pepper; drizzle over vegetables and toss to coat.Transfer to a baking tray. 4. Roast 35-40 minutes or until tender 5. stirring once. 6. 06.01.2022 I DARE YOU TO TRY THIS AT ALL OF YOUR MEALS TODAY . its a lot harder than you might think!!! Its to SLOW DOWN when youre eating by at least 50%. Take your time and really CHEW your food. You get extra credit for turning off all distractions when youre eating, too no TV and no phone!... Studies show that people who say they eat fast gain weight over time and are more than 115% (!!!!) likely to become obese. Plus when you take your time to actually TASTE what youre eating, you get to enjoy it more, and your digestive system has a much easier time doing its job! Put pumpkin on a tray Spray with olive oil and season to taste. Roast pumpkin till soft Put aside to cool. Step 2. - 4 handfuls of baby spinach. - 1/4 cup pine nuts roasted. - 100g feta cheese crumbled. a.Arrange baby spinach on tray. b. Top with cooled pumpkin c. Scatter crumbled feta and Pine nuts. Step 3. Dressing.... - 2 TB Extra Virgin Olive Oil - 2 TB Balsamic Vinegar - 1/2 TB Honey Pour dressing over salad .... enjoy with your favourite protein Serves 6.
