25.01.2022 They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so if thats the case then these would write a book in themselves. Love this place. See you soon.

23.01.2022 Hello to all our followers, regular visitors, family and friends. You may or may not be aware but our Happy Place has been affected by the recent fires in Stroud. We are all safe and sound and no damage to persons or property thanks to the efforts of the RFS. Along with this we are coming into the Aussie summer period hence anticipate that we will have total fire bans most of the summer, and whats a camp out without a campfire As a result we are taking the opportunity to ...close the camp grounds and use this time to improve and rejuvenate our Happy Place. We will still keep you updated on the progress of the camping area via this page but will not be taking any booking's or visitors until Autumn. Thank you for your understanding and see you all back here soon enough. See more

20.01.2022 Thank you to all those who have been contacting us to make bookings but unfortunately we are still a couple of weeks away to be able to open the camping area. I know it feels like we've been saying that for ever but some things are just out of our control. When we do open COVID rules will apply in line with many other venues and services across NSW and unfortunately anyone from Victoria or Greater Sydney (identified COVID hotspots) will not be allowed to visit or stay. We wil...l also encourage and enforce social distancing along with all the usual personal hygiene hand sanitisation station. Look forward to seeing you all soon.

16.01.2022 All sorts of wildlife can be found if you look and listen close enough. One of our locals.

10.01.2022 Bring firewood they said. Hope this will get us through the weekend. Yes its chilly outside buts thats why god gave us camp fires.

09.01.2022 Well things are progressing. We have now put up a dedicated cooking station and a communal fire pit. Couple of more smaller things and a slash and mow and we will be up and going once again. Did I mention we also stocked the dams with Silver Perch so a bit of catch and release fun for the kiddies in about 10 months when they reach 500g or maybe one for the plate..

07.01.2022 Sorry for the bad video but it's tough trying to get these fireflies to sit still. Yes that's right randomly they appear to have moved in for a night or 2. Look close you'll see the small flickers of light.

06.01.2022 Looking for a place to call home for a couple of days but away from the madding crowds and close enough not to miss a thing. Located just 6 minutes drive from the event. See you there. https://www.facebook.com/events/237412917191655/?ti=cl

06.01.2022 I can here you all calling out that you need to go camping, get connected to the outdoors and most important have a campfire. Thank you all for your patience unfortunately repairs and maintenance it still an ongoing matter. A couple of fences to go and a quick short back and sides for the grass and camping areas and we're back in business. Couple of weeks and we look forward to opening the gates again.

04.01.2022 Slowly but surely we are getting the place back to normal and hopefully look forward to reopening in Autumn as anticipated. The damage from fire, floods and storms isn't so much at the camping area its self, it has the rest of the property we have been working on. This has taken time away from us and we don't want to do our campers any injustice by not being able to maintain the camp area. Just some pictures now we have managed to get access back to the top of the ridge line ...after a hectic weekend working bee. Always something more to do. See more

04.01.2022 Well things are progressing and we're almost there. Seating around the camp kitchen, cooking area and communal fire. Also a couple of locals spotted who popped in to say G'day.

02.01.2022 The wildlife is still very active despite the recent fires. For a nocturnal animal to be feeding and wandering in the middle of the day is a little unusual.

02.01.2022 Quick little video of around the bottom camping area

01.01.2022 Just one of the beautiful flowers my wife has nurtured in her garden around the homestead, absolutely stunning. Cactus Orchid so I'm told. Progress photo's as it's been opening during the night. #mistymountainstroud #mothernature #stroudcamping
