22.01.2022 Much too long since our last posting. Spring plantings and pruning our two orchards takes up time. Our guests, sampling the Stroudover Cottage Special Weekend, enjoyed the selection of duck liver pate, green salad, with sour dough; chicken and salmon sausages on a spring onion puree; and a mature triple cream Brie from 6th June (made by the Bemboka Secret Cheese Society )...all washed down with a splurge of Burge...

11.01.2022 One of the things I’ve always wanted to do is to have a stay at Stroudover Cottage. One should always be careful of what one wishes for...because of the recent bush fire our house is unserviceable and Stroudover Cottage slightly singed. No power, water or phone/ internet coverage (SOS only), infrastructure gone...but the beds are comfortable and I had a great sleep last night. We will be unavailable for some time to come...if I don’t respond it’s because I have no signal... I’ll keep you posted as and when, until then...
