21.01.2022 We are getting a lot of people asking if the Rodeo is going ahead this year unfortunately we are not holding our Rodeo and Campdraft this year looking forward to our 2021 and planning for it to be bigger and better.
20.01.2022 We would like to wish everyone a happy new year especially our own Matty Gorton who got the call him and his family were waiting for on the 22nd of Dec 3 days before Xmas (what a Xmas miracle) that he was about to have the transplant he was waiting for a new kidney and pancreas. Well Matty has defeated the odds and is going great with the love of family and friends we know he will continue to improve and be home soon. He will be in the thick of things at this year Rodeo on the 17 & 18th September and we all can’t wait. Thinking of you and your family Matty. Look out 2021 it is Marty’s year!!
20.01.2022 Doing nothing Saturday night come join us at the Stroud Country Club for the Calcutta! What is a Calcutta? You buy a ticket from the club or businesses around Stroud for a $1 they go in a barrel and are draw at 6pm, they are matched with the horse if your lucky to be drawn out you own that horse.... Then at 8pm the auction begins what happens is you have to bid on the horse you want if you own that horse and win you pay half the bidding price if someone else out bids you then you get half of what they pay the rest goes towards the winning at the end of the Melbourne Cup. The dividend are 60% divided between 1st, 2nd and 3rd we also pay $100 for last. The other 40% is going to our ongoing charity HMRI the Rodeo Committee have been donating to them for many years. Here is a little of what they do HMRI’s clinical, biomedical and public health researchers work across multiple campuses in 6 key areas: * Brain and Mental Health * Cancer * Cardiovascular * Pregnancy and Reproduction * Public Health * Viruses, Infections/Immunity, Vaccines and Asthma (VIVA) HMRI researchers rely on philanthropic donations from the community, along with Australian Government funding, to support research projects, equipment, scholarships, fellowships and travel grants. Internal grant funding is allocated through a rigorous review process and invested in areas of highest community need. So if your free please support our Calcutta so we can raise a heaps of money for a great charity and you never know you could also come out a winner! Prizes to be won!

19.01.2022 It's almost opening time!! Only one more day until the Stroud Country Club re-opens, and we look forward to welcoming you back. Please remember that everyone at...tending the Club will need to sign in and follow the social distancing requirements. The sign in requirement is a Federal Government regulation and applies to members and non members. Also just a reminder that we may ask you to be seated elsewhere within the Club apart from the main bar room if the numbers in that area reach capacity. Patrons must remain seated unless making purchases at the bar, placing orders for bar snacks or buying raffle tickets. There will be a single line for bar purchases and we appreciate your patience and understanding during the busier times. The smoking area on the verandah has been repositioned and must be adhered to at all times as the main area on the verandah is now deemed a food only area. The Club will be open from 11.30 am and we will be holding our Friday night raffle, member badge draw & Joker draw. Tickets for the raffle are on sale from 6.30 pm. Don't forget we also have a Sunday afternoon meat raffle, member badge draw and darts comp, with raffle tickets on sale from around 4.00 pm. We are excited that we can open again, and we look forward to sharing the Club with our community.

12.01.2022 The Stroud Rodeo and Campdraft committee met to discuss this years annual Rodeo on the 18th and 19th of September and unfortunately we have decided to cancel this years event due to COVID-19 restrictions. As a committee we are wanting to do the right thing for not only our community, competitors, volunteers, spectators and committee but also our sport. Our 2021 Rodeo will be on the 17th and 18th September it will be bigger and better with our new Horse Sports Arena for our c...ampdraft. Stay safe everyone Stroud Rodeo Committee
11.01.2022 The realisation that this week we would have been gearing up for the Rodeo to start this weekend all the excitement, organisation and hoping it won’t rain but it feels very different this year thanks to covid but don’t worry the committee are still working behind the scenes for next years which is the 17 & 18th September so lock it in now. Our new camp draft arena is slowly coming together and we can not wait to share it with everyone once it’s completed it has been a long road but because of our dedicated committee will be worth it. The grant we received from the State government has definitely helped and we would like to thank them and our secretary for putting it in and getting it.
11.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that we laid to rest on Friday one of our own Lawrence Oliver Hamilton Lawrie Lawrie was an integral part of not only our committee but others in the community and he was a mentor, colleague, partner, father, best mate, grandfather and friend to so many of us. We are all going to miss him so very much, Lawrie was loved by everyone and he has left a big hole in so many hearts our world will never be the same. He was a former president and committee member but most of all he knew things about how the Rodeo was to be run that knowledge will be sorely missed. RIP our beautiful friend we all love and will miss you.
