14.05.2022 Today’s #ThrowBackThursday project is The Hilary Field Centre Extension in Antarctica. This project involved fabricating welded portal columns bolted to cranked rafters and supported by steel floor beams. Our in-house design and detailing team ensured each assembly would fit into 40ft containers. ... All steel first visited NZ for quality checks before being shipped to Antarctica. This project required special material grades and bolts to ensure the structure could endure Antarctica’s harsh elements.
