25.01.2022 Glory to God! Our blessed church continues to grow and grow with Gods blessing & our Saints interventions..how far we have come:) Our beautiful Golden Domes...a sight for sore eyes! As the Beautiful Pascal hymn says : Let God arise, let his ENEMIES be scattered; let those who hate Him (Christ & His Church) flee from before His face!... As smoke vanishes, so let them (evil ones) vanish; as wax melts before the fire, So the sinners will perish before the face of God; but let the righteous be glad. 20.01.2022 Напередодн свята Покрова Пресвято Богородиц Православна Церква вшанову пам’ять святителя Михала першого митрополита Кивського вс Руси. Вн став од...ню з ключових постатей у формуванн духовного розвитку Руси-Украни: псля Хрещення нашо держави святитель Михал продовжив примножувати труди святих рвноапостольних Кирила Мефодя та хнх учнв на укранських землях. У 988 роц святитель Михал був призначений у Русь Константинопольським патрархом Миколам Хризовергом та собором пископв. Його вра стала справжнм лхтарем у сутнках, що освтив народу Руси-Украни шлях до стинно ври. Спершу святитель Михал охрестив дванадцятьох синв святого князя Володимира Великого, його вйсько та знать. Псля цього разом з багатьма священнослужителями звершив масове хрещення киян у рчц Почайна, притоц Днпра. Своми вчинками святий Михал намагався наслдувати апостолв та жити праведно. Всм серцем та врною Господу душею, перший митрополит Кивський прагнув нести слово Боже та будувати святин. У Кив святитель на честь свого небесного покровителя заклав дерев’яну церкву святого Михала. На цьому мсц нин височ Свято-Михайлвський Золотоверхий собор. Також святитель Михал благословив святого Володимира Великого на побудову першо на той час кам’яно Десятинно церкви. Вн не дожив до завершення будвництва, але саме в цьому храм спочивали його мощ. З просвтницькою мсю вн вдвдав велик мста Рус: Чернгв, Переяслав, Блгород, Володимир-Волинський, Ростов Великий, охрестив тамтешнх жителв, поставив у них пископв пресвтерв для прославлення мен Божого серед народу, просвтленого у вр християнськй. На Кивськй митрополичй кафедр святитель Михал пробув недовго. Через чотири роки псля офцйного хрещення Руси-Украни (992 р.) вн спочив у Боз. Приблизно 1103 р. мощ святителя Михала з невдомих причин були перенесен з Десятинно церкви до Антонвих печер, а пзнше, у XVIII столтт до Успенського собору Киво-Печерсько лаври. На жаль, цей собор був пдрваний бльшовиками в 1941 роц, тому подальша доля мощей святителя Михала невдома.

10.01.2022 Saints of the Holy Metropolis of Hydra..Amongst them bottom left we see St Nektarios and top right his spiritual brother & best friend our beloved St Savvas of Kalymnos both who at one point passed through and preached-served in the Metropolis of Hydra. The Synaxis- Saints of the Metropolis of Hydra are celebrated 17th October.

Luke 8:5-15 The Lord said this parable: "A sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell along the path, and was trodden under foot, and the birds of the air devoured it. And some fell on the rock; and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns grew with it... and choked it. And some fell into good soil and grew, and yielded a hundredfold." And when his disciples asked him what this parable meant, he said, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God; but for others they are in parables, so that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, that they may not believe and be saved. And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy; but these have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. And as for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bring forth fruit with patience."
