18.01.2022 The National Council of Churches in Australia is calling Christians in Australia to a national day of Prayer on Sunday 2 August to pray for all those impacted by COVID-19 in Australia and worldwide and an end to the pandemic COVID-19. They have offered this prayer: Gracious God, trusting in your providence and presence, ... we bring our prayer for an end to this pandemic. We pray for your strengthening of all those committed to offering costly leadership during this crisis. We pray for all who are ill. We pray for those anxious about getting ill. We pray for those full of grief. We remember those who have died. Aware of our fragility, we pray for your grace to sustain us as we do what we can to end this pandemic. Your compassionate, peaceful and creative response to many crises is our model, including in our Sunday Gospel (Mt. 14: 13-21). As we worship in resurrection faith on Sunday 2 August, we offer our heartfelt prayer in your Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

16.01.2022 The PPW Presbytery Ministry Team is hosting a FREE Presbytery wide trivia night on Saturday Sept 5 from 7pm 9.30pm on Zoom. ... You are invited to join as an individual and we will put you in a team or you can arrange your own team of 6 8 people from your congregation or family and friends. People don’t have to be connected with the church to participate in this fun event. It is BYO drinks and snacks (as you will all be in your own home in lockdown!!) Children are encouraged to participate as there will be special questions that only children may know the answers. It will be to your advantage to have some children in your team. You can register through this trybooking link https://www.trybooking.com/BLETS If you are thinking of organising your own team then do that first before registering as it will ask you to list the other people in your team. It will be helpful for you (or a member of your team) to have downloaded the game platform called Kahoot beforehand. You can do this from google or you can play online on the night. Yes, there will be prizes. We would love you to join us as we all need a bit of fun in our lives at the moment and you will get to meet some other people from across the Presbytery. So brush up on your trivia knowledge and we hope to see you on Sept 5 at 7pm Blessings, The Ministry Team.
