23.01.2022 Will Lipscombe Memorial Art Awards - Congratulations to our finalists who were presented with their prizes today. This year’s theme was the hero I hold in my heart. Thank you to Tim and Joey for coming and presenting the awards.



22.01.2022 Rhythm Works by Musica Viva was presented to us today in the classrooms. The students enjoyed the interactive nature. They were able to see many instruments and learnt about the elements of music. They heard and responded to some wonderful soundscapes.

22.01.2022 In recognition of the COVID-19 challenges, Catholic Education is providing families with an additional week to meet with the Principal and enrol online. We are taking enrolments from Kinder to Year 6. Please contact the school on 62314144 to organise a time to meet or to ask any questions you may have.

22.01.2022 The big clean for THE TOILET PROJECT has begun! Thank you to our parents Mega and Kalyani Alagappan and their team for the deep clean of the toilets. We are most appreciative for what you are doing. The painting team starts tomorrow!



21.01.2022 Book Week - today we celebrated book week with the theme of Curious Creatures, Wild Minds and that is certainly what turned up at school today! Although we couldn’t have the normal parade with all extended family, we still did have a spectacular parade by the students (and staff) with some wild and wonderful costumes on parade!

21.01.2022 Investigating satellites for Science Week and how scientists use them to help research our oceans. Science Week - this week students from Kinder, Yr 1 & 2 did some science activities based around satellites and the information they provide. The students investigated this year’s science week theme, The Deep Blue, and discussed how scientists research our oceans. Within the next week all K-2 classes will have an opportunity to do this activity.

20.01.2022 Yesterday we welcomed our Kinder 2021students who came with one parent/carer for a short visit. They enjoyed activities in the Kinder classrooms and individual guided tours of our school by Year 6 students.



19.01.2022 It’s been a huge weekend for our team working on THE TOILET PROJECT. Here are just a few photos of everybody hard at work undercoating and painting the doors and the walls. There will be lots more happening during the week and next weekend. The final reveal will be to the students when they come back to school next term and then we will show everybody else here on our Facebook page.

18.01.2022 Kinder 100 Days recently we marked 100 days of school for Kindergarten students. They enjoyed some wonderful 100 days activities and each child brought in 100 of something to show the class including lego, leaves, grains of rice and pasta.

16.01.2022 What a great opportunity! A one hour ‘live’ mental health webinar with renowned child / adolescent psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Greg. He will focus on how to build resilience in our children in times of uncertainty. This event is for parents, carers grandparents and community working with children and teenagers and their families. Includes 15 mins Questions and Answers time.



15.01.2022 Year 2 drumming up interest for contributions to our ‘Mini Vinnies Winter Woolies’ appeal.

14.01.2022 On the last day of term, we celebrated the feast of St Thomas the Apostle. We combined this with our Minni-Vinnies, Winter Woolies Day. The students participated in a number of activities that included, meditation, singing and reflecting on supporting people in our society who are less fortunate than us. The SVDP Night Patrol Van crew were overwhelmed with the donations of warm clothes donated by the St Thomas families. Thank you to everyone who made the day so memorable.

07.01.2022 Teddy Bear's Picnic - Kinder enjoyed a wonderful morning with their teddies doing craft activities, listening to stories and enjoying picnic food.

06.01.2022 Floriade Reimagined: looking back at the planting of our Floriade bulbs. They have now bloomed and our garden is looking bright and beautiful!

06.01.2022 Acknowledging Reconciliation Day 2020. On Friday, our children experienced ‘Dadirri’ with Mrs Gowen in our Indigenous Yarning Circle. A beautiful and meaningful time for each of us.

06.01.2022 On Monday, Year 2 visited the National Gallery of Australia as an integral part of their inquiry unit "How people use different forms of artistic expression to convey a message"

05.01.2022 Today Palk Gede, the cultural education officer from the Indonesian Embassy, visited Yr3/4. The children learnt about the various gamelan instruments from the gongs to the symbols. They dressed in traditional clothing and headgear. They learnt how to play the gamelan instruments and about the culture of the people who play the amazing music. They found if very interesting and entertaining. It was a lot of fun and the instruments were very decorative and precious. Such a good interaction of cultures.

04.01.2022 Last week Year 4 students received the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time. They were beautiful evenings, well supported by their families and by the parish. It was so special to have a group of parishioners provide the music for the evening. Yet another demonstration of the incredible community we have.
