21.01.2022 St Therese’s Parish Kennington Angelus Call to Prayer. Below is a short video message from our Parish Priest Fr Andrew to help launch our new parish ‘Call to Prayer’. Now is a time when we need to find alternative ways in which we can celebrate our faith together while physically apart. A parishioner sent us a suggestion to unify us as a parish community through prayer, Fr Andrew immediately identified the Angelus Prayer as a wonderful way for us to do exactly that.... We suggest parishioners may join together with Angelus prayer at 12 noon or 6pm, knowing that even though we are not physically together we can certainly join together through prayer. Why not post below and let others know you will be joining in our ‘Call to Prayer’? We have also created a short video with pictures from all around our parish and the prayer words along with the Angelus bells in the background. Look for this in the next post. 09.01.2022 Dear All Good Peoples, Light in the Darkness - Time Out for a Suffering World Date: Monday, August 31st Time: 7pm... On the eve of Spring, an invitation from the Faith Communities of Victoria to be a light in the darkness. As the last light of the last day of winter fades, stand in your front garden and spend some time in silence, perhaps light a candle, to remember all those who have lost their lives to the Coronavirus or to violence. Share a thought for our front line healthcare workers who are risking their lives, and that of their families, to fight the virus outbreak. Then, as the first night of spring begins, look to the future with prayer and hope. Let us move from the cold and the dark into warmth and light together
