24.01.2022 Hey Facebook family!! If you’re in Melbourne right now, we hope you’re bundled up and staying warm!! A message from our Vicar, Vanessa: ‘With the extension of lockdown and the staged reopening of our city, it looks like it will be December before we can even begin thinking of reopening. Who would have thought back in March that our church building would be closed for so long? Just as well the ‘church’ is not the building but the people of God usually gathered together bu...t, in these unusual times, gathered online. Although this is drawing out and it is easy to get out of our usual rhythm, please continue to connect with our online service, and find some support and nourishment in the worship of our Lord who is not limited by any human restrictions.' Attached is our order of service for this Sunday - Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost! We are so excited to have you join us in our virtual space, via our YouTube page!! The video will be uploaded and ready for you to watch tomorrow, as you join us in worship. A few points to add: -Our new sermon and bible studies series will be exploring Paul’s letter to the Philippians! -Our bible study groups run on Wednesdays, via Zoom. This is an open invitation to anyone who would like to join, if you haven’t yet. Shoot us a message via Facebook! -Our church has been registered with the children's ministry 'QuizWorx'. We are so excited to provide resources from their home delivery program. If you’d like to receive these, please send us a message and we will add you to our email list! Have a blessed and safe week everyone!

22.01.2022 Welcome St Thomas' goers, welcome to our new followers! A note about our service structure moving forward - this Sunday we complete our series on Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians. The following Sunday celebrates Christ as King, and then we begin Advent in the lead up to Christmas! It's crazy to think that Christmas is just over a month away! Attached is our order of service for the twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost! We warmly welcome any feedback, comments or sugg...estions regarding our services (shoot us an email or Facebook message). Catch our service on our YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC63PzGVmusUGUcVG4YVSE8g We are beyond excited to reopen our doors, however, we also want to ensure that we strictly follow state guidelines, in order to keep our community safe. We await further announcements from the state government as to what we may/may not be able to do in Melbourne by Christmas. Currently, churches are only allowed a maximum of 20 people in 2 groups of 10, spaced 5m apart, with people in each group spaced 1.5m apart, for services only not for meetings.

22.01.2022 Welcome back St Thomas' family!! We hope you've been keeping safe and well, particularly if you're in our home ground of Melbourne, enjoying the new liberties and eased restrictions! So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. ~ Isaiah 41:10

12.01.2022 Food for thought for a Friday afternoon! Check out Pastor Craig Groeschel's message on the power of setting small habits in obedience & faith to God. We even encourage you to delve into the first 15 minutes if you're feeling a little time poor. The key question to reflect on while listening to this is ‘Who does God want you to be?’, rather than ‘Who do you want to be?’. Considering successes in various aspects of life, with a God/Christ centred framework, is integral. God’s ...concept of success is very different to the world’s concept, eg. Jesus’ success was through death and sacrifice on a cross. It is truly amazing how small, consistent habits translate to achieving long-term successes in God's calling for your life. Pastor Craig puts forward some fantastic points in a very clear and accessible manner. So who does God want you to be? Who is God calling you to be? Blessings! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvwCaaaN104&feature=youtu.be

02.01.2022 It’s hard to believe it’s already daylight savings this weekend!! The service will be up and available on our YouTube channel. Come and worship us...... join us in learning more about our almighty God, and his wonderful ways! We are thinking of everyone as we continue to live in a world of restriction and regulation. We think it’s pretty safe to say that no one envisioned 2020 looking quite like it has - it has certainly been a significant moment in history. Nevertheless, there has been something uniquely unifying about the experience and everything it has entailed. It has placed such an emphasis on all the little moments that we might’ve otherwise been too busy to stop and appreciate. God has a plan for each and every one of us. There’s a reason that this season was a part of it. Sending you love and blessings for the week ahead! With love, St Ts

01.01.2022 We have a number of youth in our congregation; we recognise this is a very busy time of the year for all of them! We wanted to wish all of our students the very best of luck with exam and assessment season, particularly for our year 12s, who commenced their first exam this morning. Exams tend to stir up a mixture of emotions. Most importantly though, God has a unique and special plan for all of you. Nothing and no one can stop that. 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' -Philippians 4:6-7
