15.01.2022 St Thomas More Pray for Us!

13.01.2022 This weekend, the Catholic Church in Australia marks Child Protection Sunday, on which we pray for those who have been abused, their families and supporters. We recognise and apologise for the harm done by priests, religious and lay people in Church settings. The Church takes a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse. We recommit to practices that support survivors and make the Catholic Church and its ministries the safest possible place for children and people at risk.

08.01.2022 TALK ABOUT EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Tonight at St. Brigid's, Fr. Anthony Riosa SSS of the Blessed Sacrament Fathers will be speaking about the beauty of Adoration at our 12 Hours for the Lord. The talk will commence at 7pm and conclude with benediction at 8pm. Fr. Anthony C. Riosa, SSS belongs to a religious order, the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament (SSS - Philippines) founded by a French priest, St. Peter Julian Eymard (1811-1868) whose charism is... to spread the love of the Eucharist and the adoration of the Eucharistic Lord. As a guest-priest, he is staying at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (North Belconnen) and will be helping in the ministerial work here in the Archdiocese of Canberra-Goulburn in view of founding a community in the future. As many of you would know, Eucharistic Adoration (12 Hours for the Lord) is held in St Brigid’s Dickson every Wednesday 8am-8pm. We have a roster and parishioners sign up to spend an hour each week in quiet prayer and contemplation before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. New volunteers always welcome.

07.01.2022 Equity is important to all Australians. We all know that having ‘a fair go’ goes right to the centre of our national identity. Please pray that Victorian people of faith get a fair go in worshiping freely and safely.
