25.01.2022 As an artist it is inevitable that what I experience and perceive affects my art. It is impossible for me to separate my art and life experiences . I am also committed to bringing into clients homes patterns and textures that are reflective of natiral forms. These artworks take many forms and themes, from realist to abstract. This artwork comes after snorkelling in this crystal clear water and with a little imagination can be applied to an interior in a variety of ways. I am not into making generic abstraction , the inherent integrity and story within each piece is important. #unique art # water themes# original art # personalised commissions

24.01.2022 The enticing crystal clear water of Amed Bali, coral up to the shore , so close. I have spent all my life near water, it is a great source of inspiration which then percolates through my experience into my art. #Bali#art#inspiration#unique#water theme

22.01.2022 If you are looking for some beautiful art for your home or for that extra special gift for someone, you can commission or purchase from available stock. I have a market stall at Peregian Markets where you can view samples of my artwork or view available stock by appointment at my studio at Caloundra

22.01.2022 Way off the beaten track in Bali . Up in the mountains behind a Amed.

21.01.2022 Feeling blessed and nurtured in my practice today at Eumundi Markets when two beautiful people, lovers of art purchased from me again adding to their collection. The exchange between artist and purchaser is about more just buying something for the home, or a collection, it is the exchange of feeling, emotion, beauty, energy, effort, the felt moment and connection that goes with it. Thank you Abi and Chris with Gratitude #originalartateumundi #stylisedlandscapeart #startinga...artcollection #sunshinecoastlandscapeart #handpaintedwallhangings #studio5ateumundimarkets @ Caloundra, Queensland See more

20.01.2022 This concept mock up is an example of what can be done with a nature inspired pattern field. Colours can be tweaked to suit any theme. In the same way external nature functions as an ecology of balanced elements an interior can also do the same. A balance of simple and complex forms generates a feeling of harmony. Many people tell me that the water themed work is calming and reflective. This is not unlike sitting at the edge of water and gazing out , allowing the mind to quiten into a more meditative state. # reflective art#meditative art # water themes#calming#balance# beauty

17.01.2022 I am looking forward to meeting all those who would like to come to the opening of an exhibition of my artwork at Vianta coffee and exotics. I have included images taken just after installation. All these works are awaiting beautiful and interesting homes to dwell in.They are affordably priced and range in price to suit all budgets.

15.01.2022 The coral and fish here are so beautiful as only coral can be , a myriad of shapes and forms. It is like swimming in a tropical fish tank. It is such a shame that our species is causing so much damage to this most precious of elements. It is a our source, our origin our collective aqueous mother.# origin# feeling# connection#life# being

15.01.2022 This piece of art is from a series of works where I found myself with many strips of offcut canvas from when I used to make up my own canvases. Not wanting to waste materials I came up with this solution which has resonances with tapestry hangings and similar artifacts. I feel there is a distinct eastern feel to the work , muted and sublime. I produce these works on a commission basis to suit individual interiors. The big advantage to this series is that each can be rolled up.

12.01.2022 This would have to be one of the smallest commissions I have ever had, but it was a pleasure to do. It is for a lovely young Italian man, Sergio, who is on a working holiday enjoying this beautiful region. He was one of a group of fellow travellers all of whom are on working holidays. They attended the first open studio night with the glowing artworks and will be attending the next as well which is on Monday 31st. They all gave such heart felt feedback on the experience and ...shared visions for their own futures and experiences, one of the most beautiful being from Agustina who has experienced bio luminescence in nature. I found this deeply touching and this is one of the my drivers for making artworks, to communicate something that sometimes defies words and explanation. To find a form that requires no words to communicate its essence. The experience of nature, it's beauty, textures and forms and art that comes out of that communion are truly trans-personal experiences that unite us in our common and shared humanity. If you wish to attend notify me by text on 0408871507 with the number of people coming. @eumundimarketmakers @studio5art #originalcommissionedart #uniqueartworks #colourfuloringinalartateumundimarkets #artforartlovers #waterthemedart #landscapethemedart #artasspiritualpractice #artasmeditation #artasyoga

12.01.2022 Well, finally after a year of hard work making changes to my studio/gallery it is finally ready to open to the public. Making art for me is like breathing and has been a practice throughout my life. I find great pleasure in creating beautiful work and especially when those works find a home. It becomes a form of shared experience that is sometimes difficult to define for it is not necessarily about the commercial transaction but more about the process and experience of creati...ng the work and engaging with those who are drawn to it. This is especially true when a client commissions a new work allowing for a collaborative process to unfold and be brought into reality. The artworks are strongly influenced by natural forms and themes and could be classed as organic abstraction but there are also many figurative works which are inspired by the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland. With the range of sizes and styles available there is art for everything from a unit to a large home, office or corporate boardroom. I would like to extend an invitation to all to view the work first hand at the studio/gallery either on the open days or by appointment. We will be open from 10am 4pm Saturday 23rd June for our first Art Market Day which will be held every Saturday thereafter and open 10am 4pm Wednesday to Saturday. I would invite all to like this page and share with as many friends and family as possible. Do drop in and say Hello See more

08.01.2022 I never thought I would find myself posting images of food, I have seen others do it and have always wondered, Why! Well now I find myself doing the same and for a very good reason. Firstly, the warmth and hospitality shown to two hungry nature pilgrims after a long sojourn through Noosa National Park. Thinking we had missed the lunch time period at 3pm we stumbled across JUNGLE & CO. at Noosa Junction. Vladia was so accomodating especially given they were in the process of ...closing. The plant based food fuelled by passion and ethics is simply delicious with a wonderful balance of flavours and sensations not to mention the colour and presentation. 08.01.2022 These paintings are from a series of multi -panel artworks the content of which has been inspired by the landscape and its textures. The advantage of these arrangements is that they can be stretched out to fill wall space.

08.01.2022 The art of Wabi Sabi as I undertstand it is the acceptamce of what is. Its roots lie in Zen Buddhism. It is about finding beauty in the things normally overlooked, weathered or worn by time as we all will be one day. All of life is transient. It is good to reflect. During our short stay here in Amed Bali I have felt inspired by the the intensity of colors, landscape and textures.

08.01.2022 These are some night time images from my studio. I will be opening up my studio for a public viewing on the Monday 31st August. There will be 3 sessions: 6pm - 7pm 7pm - 8pm... 8pm - 9pm Please text me on 0408871507 to notify me of how many people will be coming so I can manage numbers according to Covid restrictions. I will also be handing out leaflets at The Original Eumundi Markets on Wednesday and Saturday. This is a subtle unique experience. I also now have a viewing booth at Eumundi Markets to view these works first hand so if you can't make it to the studio catch me at Eumundi. @eumundimarketmakers @studio5art #originalcommissionedart #uniqueartworks #colourfuloringinalartateumundimarkets #artforartlovers #waterthemedart #landscapethemedart #artasspiritualpractice #artasmeditation #artasyoga See more

07.01.2022 Check this out folks This is my entry in 'Sculpture on the Edge' being held at Spicers Tamarind Resort located at 88 Obi Lane Maleny. I have used photo active material in its finish which means, after being activated with either sunlight or artificial light it will continue to glow for up to 6 hours in the dark. This piece along with many other sculptural works will be on display until late September. This competition has been organised by Arts Connect and there will be a m...ember of the group in attendance each day of the exhibition. This piece is a mixed media work incorporating a variety of techniques. It would be ideally suited as a feature piece inside an interior or located under cover in an outdoor entertainment area. It is weather resistant and can withstand being hosed down. Priced at only $2500 it is very good value for the astute buyer given the number of hours that went into it's creation. Entitled 'Earth Totem' this work explores the cycles and forces of nature upon which we are all reliant. The appearance during the day is a dynamic upward movement of shoot like forms reaching towards the sky nourished by the life force in the fluid elements. At night one enters into a different zone as the eyes adjust to night vision. Light emanating from the form captures the gaze and draws the viewer in. The imagination comes into play, reflections on the very origins of our planet, a cosmic dance of energies and potential life, some magical shadowy other world ? The form seems alive and as one allows ones mind to rest and quieten, a childlike sense of wonder and delight becomes present. See more

06.01.2022 Dramatic landscape, cloud covered mountain tops, soaring cliff faces, rough trails, chickens everywhere , cows feeding ,freindly open faces, terraces upon terraces, stone walls, bamboo groves, rough tracks. A real treat @ Amed Bali

06.01.2022 I love the dark for without it there can be no light. Nor can there be all that we see We are all beings of light Shrouded in the dark cloak of unknowing Lift the veil ... And see #souljourney #heartjourney #artjourney

06.01.2022 Tomorrow is the big day! Please join us in the opening of Studio 5

05.01.2022 This series of artworks are a body of work I started a number of years ago and come out of an interest in patterns and repetition. in particular, ideas around fractals and how any smaller section is representative of the whole. The work is both simple and complex at the same time with an ambient and meditative quality that can bring a point of interest to a space without jumping out at the viewer. The work invites contemplation and observation.

04.01.2022 JOY. Joy is the aroma of damp earth, the bonds formed with others, the way light falls across the landscape, the natural sculpted beauty of natural forces, the sound of rushing water, the reflections in a still pool, the absorption in what is present. For all this and more I am grateful simply to be. We are all the guardians of this most precious planet, honour it, respect our place in it, love it as we would be loved ourselves.

On Wednesday the 10th October the IPCC released it's latest report with a strong emphasis on the need for all governments to implement policy changes now to avoid catastrophic climate change. It estimated that we have 30 years to keep greenhouse levels to 1.5 to avoid 2 degrees which would mean catastrophic climate variability. On Thursday Pacific Nation leaders released a statement urging the Australian Government to act on the evidence being offered by the overwhelming majority of the worlds climate scientists We are already seeing some evidence of these effects. It is time to make your voice heard and our politicians need to hear it. ACT NOW
