24.01.2022 Tropical colour in all of our vases today at the Parap Village Market. I have one big fan for you and one big fan for me if you want to pop in. I don’t mind sharing. She’s a hot one in Darwin today.

22.01.2022 Play time over. I HAVE to let them dry. It’s not often at all that we have time to play on leather hard clay. Darwin temps mean clay dries out Very quickly. Nice to have fun experimenting with slip and colour.

18.01.2022 It’s a hot sweaty day and I’m thankful to have clay on my hands. Throwing off the hump. Centre one big piece of clay to make many tiny tea cups from. Beats all that extra work of centring each cup. Saves time and effort!

18.01.2022 In the studio today - Glazing We spread out the flat stuff in the garden on this metal grid and we spray on a coat of glaze. Mask on, hose down when finished. Pray it doesn’t rain actually we are hanging out for rain ATM in Darwin. She’s a 36 degree day with 60% humidity.

17.01.2022 Making bee templates in the studio today. (A special commission) I usually use news paper to draw the shape and then cut it out. I put the cutout on the clay and cut around it. If it’s something I do hundreds of, (um, like chickens) I then make a wooden template. Are my chooks getting smaller and smaller after all these years of using the same template?

06.01.2022 Sorry to say friends that we won’t be at the Parap Vilage market tomorrow as we have a little white clay production happening in the studio. We are selling 6k bags of white earthenware $12.50 and some underglaze colours as below. (Apologies re the dodgy photo) Feel free to pop in from 9am to midday. We’ll be happy to supply for your creativity.
