22.01.2022 A small wide eyed "alien" in Darwin....strange little creature!

21.01.2022 A day at the races and a formal occasion. Custom made dresses for that special event.

19.01.2022 Fashion should be fun and Studio27Kreations collaborated with one of Darwin's fabulous photographers - Alexandra Alexia Parry. We worked together to do a fun fashion shoot inspired by aliens and using Darwin as a backdrop. Thanks to Lyndall Hairdressing, and Darwin Aviation Heritage Museum. The fashion photos are by Alexandra. We recently worked on another shoot inspired by "Wuthering Heights"....watch out for more amazing photos!!

18.01.2022 Custom made denim jacket for band vocalist Deanna Curulli.

18.01.2022 If you didn't make it to our opening night, don't despair! There is still time to venture into "The Garden of Re-Earthly Delights" at Tactile Arts. Come and see our creations using everything pot noodle cups turned into flower pots, to cushions, ceramics, even dresses made from fishing nets to net curtains, curtains and fabrics with unique prints, jewellery, and more. Our group of artists are Janie Andrews, Carmel Ryan, Peta Smith and me Jackie O'Toole!

04.01.2022 It has been an emotional few months recently but I am slowly getting back on track! One of the joys of making clothes is being inspired by history, art and literature. I enjoy collaborating with local talent and had the pleasure of working with photographer Alex Parry and model Kerstin Pontner. Both of these ladies are very talented and a pleasure to work with. The inspiration was "Wuthering Heights", a classic novel written by Emily Bronte and first published in 1847. In Darwin we don't have the wild moorland setting described in the book so we did the shoot by the beach....of course! Alex has done a wonderful job and these photographs are just a selection of my favourites. The dresses were inspired by the time period of the novel with locally sourced and hand made textiles. Check out Alex's other work - Alexandra Alexia Parry.

03.01.2022 My time in New Zealand is drawing to a close now my daughter's radiation is over and we're looking forward to returning to Darwin. Some new textiles and fresh ideas will invigorate my collection just in time for the steamy wet season!
