12.01.2022 Much of rural Australia is in the midst of a debilitating, relentless drought right now. I grew up in the country on a farm where it felt like it hardly ever rained. Conversations about rain - or lack of it - were a huge part of my childhood as our livelihood, our entire way of life, depended on it. Spare a thought today for those in the bush that are doing it tough right now, maybe even do a little rain dance for them! #droughtisadirtybitch

11.01.2022 My 7 year old's homework last week was to survey their family and ask them "what place is special to you, why is it special and what do you do in your special place?" My place is the sea. It always has been and always will be. It's the special place that my Nanna took me to comb the beaches for beautiful shells and drift wood. It's where we would sit and watch the powerful waves crash over the reef and where we'd wander the sand hills looking for tracks and evidence of the local wildlife's nocturnal visits. Where is your special place, where does your mind wander back to? x
