22.01.2022 Olmo Reverter is a talented Spanish Photographer based in China. Given he works alone, his unusual name (meaning Elm in English) became the focus of his visual identity. The resulting geometric wordmark succinctly spells out his name whilst subtly referencing aperture and framing two important aspects of the photographic process.

18.01.2022 New country, new cards. Tasmanian's drop me a line if you need help with your brand comms.

14.01.2022 Brand Identity for a Yoga teacher/practitioner working in the Algarve area of Portugal. A simple Y+V monogram resembling a tree/leaf alludes to the notion of transformation and growth both physically and spiritually. The identity aims to avoid cliches and opts for a more sophisticated approach using natural and recycled stocks and black and white photography.

13.01.2022 New branding for the Crescent Hotel, Hobart. The Crescent Hotel is a long standing pub in North Hobart with a mixed history and local association as being a old boozer that had perhaps seen better days. Having recently taken over the lease, the new licensee was looking to reinvigorate the Crescent and create a friendly and welcoming gastro pub for locals and tourists alike. A stipulation of the lease was the name must remain unchanged. Our solution for the visual identity... involved embracing the rich history of the building including its recognisable tudor-style architecture and prominent signage (which oddly included a full-stop). A new wordmark, roundel and graphic pattern was created along with a number of branded touchpoints including coasters, merchandise, signage, bar, runners, menus and a flag.

11.01.2022 Dark times lead to brighter days. Visual Identity for DarkTimes Coffee an air-roasted organic coffee company. A strong logo was created using the abstracted mirrored letterforms of the companys initials (D + C). When the logo is repeated, a coffee bean is revealed. The chosen colours reflect the common question posed when offering a cup of coffee - black, or white?

11.01.2022 Finally got around to taking some pics today. This was my wedding invite from last year. The brief to myself was no more than 3 hours design and under 100 to produce. They were digi printed with white and black ink on a special light weight stock that allows for extra show through. The image of the flowers is by a great photographer I met through instagram called @huy____ . A3 crash folded to A6 and finished with a fluoro dot.

04.01.2022 The Actress is a family-friendly pub owned by the Metropolitan Pub Company in South London. It lies just down the road from its sister pub, aptly named The Bishop. The big drawcard of The Actress is its wood fired pizza oven serving light and lean-crust pizza with an eclectic range of fresh toppings. The visual identity for The Actress is inspired by Art Deco and the classic years of Hollywood film. It features the silhouette of an anonymous female star alongside glamorous shots of silver-screen legends. Additional brand elements included signage, screen printed pizza boxes and coasters.

02.01.2022 Visual identity for London-based photographer Tom Hains. Just as positive and negative space play an important role in photographic composition, the identity uses positive and negative space to reveal the TH. initials of the photographers name.

02.01.2022 Carvalin is a designer menswear label from Paris. With attention to detail and a focus on high quality craftsmanship and materials, Carvalin blend androgyny and sexuality of the modern man to create a collection of chic, avant-garde reinterpreted classics. We created a visual identity consisting of a bespoke slab-serif wordmark and supporting roundel which conveys the exquisite detailing of their garments.
