During this process, we discovered just how difficult it is to find contemporary typefaces designed by women that are commercially and readily available. 02.01.2022 We're off to celebrate another huge year of hard work and impactful projects, but first a moment of reflection on what really fuels the Gangplank ship: people that give a damn. Here's a few from 2019: We partnered with leaders shaping Australia's cultural and creative conscience The Design Conference Brisbane, Bee One Third - Neighbourhood Honey, La Boite Theatre Company, and The Third Quarter.... We shared our story and ran workshops thanks to The Design Conference Brisbane, Hogg & Lamb, Cavill Architects, The Weekend Edition Brisbane, La Boite Theatre Company, Entrepreneur Haus, Scrunch, Publicis Worldwide Australia Assisterhood, and Shillington, with more in the pipeline for 2020 (get in touch if interested!). We tackled the gender imbalance in creative industries as a Assisterhood mentor and have been blown away by our mentee Oriane RC Design's tenacity. Since working together, she's already kicked huge goals; now working as a designer plus refining her skills and portfolio.
