25.01.2022 It work bench Wednesday coming to you from the desktop. As if I didn't have enough going on I have started studying a Cert 4 in workplace training and assessment. It's 25 years since I finished Uni so study is a bit of a shock. A paddle at the day's end past the local Flying fox bats helps clear the mind.

25.01.2022 A client from Melbourne sent me some photos of the work (kitchen benchtops and doors and a built in robe) I did for them a number of years back. I'm pleased to say that it still looks great. It just shows that when you invest in quality you will have things that last.

19.01.2022 One of the more enjoyable aspects of my work is discovering the hidden grain of recycled timber. Some pre and post machining pics from some more floating shelves to be installed in at a new home in Kialla Lakes.

18.01.2022 It's Work bench Wednesday. This week I'm starting on a dining table, 6 chairs, 2 shelving units, double bed and two bedside cabinets, all for a local woman from Numurkah. Now that should keep me out of trouble for a little while.

16.01.2022 Not every piece we make is a massive build worthy of a magazine photo shoot. This job was a re-build of a piano stool for a local customer. They wanted to do the sanding and finishing themselves so we worked together on the job. A new seat frame was made for the top and the stool re-assembled. It will be good for another hundred years now. Drop me a line if you need help with a project.

13.01.2022 It's Work bench Wednesday. On the bench today is a dining chair prototype, based on specifications from the client. I'll drop this off to their house so they can try it out and live with it to see if there's anything they would like to change. That's what custom made furniture is all about. 13.01.2022 It's Work bench Wednesday. Going out the door today is an extension dining table restoration of a mid 80s piece that was stained to a teak colour. The owner wanted a more natural feel for their coastal home and chose a Matt finish to highlight the beauty of the timber. Drop me a line if you would like some info on restoring your favourite piece. Damien.

10.01.2022 It's Work bench Wednesday. Finished up recently was this beautiful mid century Blackwood coffee table, in for a full restoration. The old varnish was removed and the top reglued. A Matt hardwax finish was applied that showcases the true warmth and beauty of the timber.

09.01.2022 Once again the dawn service in Numurkah was very well attended. I'd like to thank anyone who has a family member that has served our great country in it's defense.

06.01.2022 The past two and a half months have been a bit of a roller coaster ride with the business. One minute I find myself charging full steam ahead with a new plan to adapt to the current situation and the next minute I'm in the fetal position. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has supported me over the past 12 years. The doors are still open and I am still making bespoke pieces for people who can't find furniture to fit their needs. I hope you and your loved ones are all coping with our changing world and keeping well.

06.01.2022 It's work bench Wednesday once again. This week coming to you from the floor bench I have a couple of mystery slabs which I picked up a while ago and have finally decided to try and identify. A packet of Smarties will be sent out to anyone who can work it out. Happy Wednesday. Damien
