23.01.2022 I can’t believe it’s September already! If you’re considering a new home renovation, retrofit or Kitchen or Bathroom redesign now is the time to get the planning done. So all the work can be finished by Christmas. I help my clients space plan along with selecting cohesive materials that suit your budget and character of your home. I then develop these ideas in a 3D model, so you can see the new spaces come alive. As an interior designer and building designer, I work alongside... engineers if we need to do structural changes. I then convert these ideas into 2D plans and elevations suitable for trades and builders to quote from. 22.01.2022 Paint finishes have come along way since the 'bright colour' 90's feature wall! Haymes Paints has a nice range of textured fiishes. This image is the Matte Polish is an understated silken metallic. A simple trowel application brings the material to life creating a low lustre overlapping pattern. Highlights and lowlights are accentuated with the fall of light, simulating the look and feel of Venetian plaster. The colours are luxe and sophisticated as is the finish with its subtle nuances and beauty.

Builders really dont like you making changes in the middle of your renovation and usually increases costs along the way. THE PROCESS OF THE IN-HOME DESIGN CONSULTATION: What you will receive;... (Prior to the home consultation) Completed the 20 min discovery call. Set up a collaboration board on Pinterest, so you can add certain images you love and so I can determine the style and level of finish youre after. I send you my budgeting questionnaire guide, so we can make sure your Pinterest board images can match your budget expectations. (After the home consultation) You receive a Scope checklist of design work and renovation work to be done. Proposed Moodboard of the design direction youre after Proposal of design fees fixed or hourly rate and an estimate of hours to undertake the design selections of the home renovation. If required an estimate of proposed furniture and styling allowance. If I have readable existing plans, I also send off a rough sketch with the scope checklist to a builder to get a builders estimation range to undertake the renovation project. 14.01.2022 My mum used to say if you cant find what youre looking for make it yourself Sometimes being a creative where you need to sell your ideas in a commercial world you can feel ... ...scrunchy.. (thats a mellism word I just made up, but u know what I mean). So to keep my creative vibes flowing I do a lot of drawing, sketching and watercolour which I dont necessary share on social (coz its just for me... or as the artist always says its not perfect yet). But this piece w...as just an experiment because I couldnt find anything around and then I came across @samgluck insta page. Funnily enough Sam is also an interior designer who also gets right into her embroidery skills. 14.01.2022 Currently researching ideas how to conceal the TV unit for an apartment design. I really like the use of timber screens by MARCO PIERI design. The idea is you close them up to conceal the TV and leaves the white open shelving on the end for styling display. Open the screens to view the TV unit. Perfect if you only have 1 living space thats required for Netflix bingeing and then also entertaining guests.

01.01.2022 In The West Australian today talking about post Covid Lifestyle. Research is telling us Perth people dont want to go back to the way things were before. Ill bet a vast majority would be mothers. Im a mum of 2 and to be able to have a home business and drop my kids off to school every morning, I just feel so lucky. I think women in general may decide to move into more consulting roles and work from home. But it can be isolating too, so you need a band of women around you to support you professionally and personally. Fusion biz co by Ashley Matkovi has been that support structure for me. I cant count how many events Ive been to and what I have learnt along the way. The best thing is I found my biz besties in this group that I would call my dear friends now.
