24.01.2022 SEEING THE TRUE YOU Helping people transform to see the person they've always wanted to be lights up my soul. Everyone has 2 images, the one they present to the world, and the one they are on the inside - the one they've always wanted to be. ... I am passionate about bringing to life the image you've always wanted to present. It has nothing to do with fashion, its about you. Hair is only part of the picture, but I'd love to be a part of your journey to embody your awesome damn empowered self. You know who you are, now let the world see.

22.01.2022 Why Misfits? When I was coming up with the concept for Studio Misfits, I had one strong central idea. Make it a space of acceptance and empowerment for those who feel like they don't fit in and who don't enjoy a traditional salon experience. To create a space for people to realise themselves, rather than go to get a look. A place for people to find THEIR look. To see the outward manifestation of who they see on the inside. To have people look in the mirror and go 'that's me...'. From that idea, I created a concept for the logo. A skull, a little bit frilly (I like frills) but ultimately gender neutral. I am forever greatful to Everlasting Ink and @graphicaddiction for bringing my idea to life. I started contacting business people i admire, and asking their advice. The best advice I received was from @tonydohertyoz "Keep it real, show your passion. Work on building a community, not just a business" So, I hope to welcome you all into my community of Misfits. Come stand out with me. Over the next few days I'll be showing my face on here, taking you through the salon as we put it together in time for opening next month!

Its like physical distancing on steroids. ... Don't expect a salon full of people (unless we're having an event). We understand that it takes a little while for some kids to trust people and new environments, so we're more than happy to spend a little time getting to know them! ... 18.01.2022 LOW TOUCH SERVICE Some people love the head massage. I've had so many people throughout my career tell me it's the main reason they come to the hairdressers. If its not your jam, and being touched makes you uncomfortable, just add the low touch service to your booking.... No head massage, no scalp brushing, and always being informed of what is happening before we do it, and explaining what is going to happen. Hairdressing is such a tactile service, but we will do everything we can to reduce contact to make your son experience less stressful.

18.01.2022 Low Heat Service Some like it hot, but you don't, and that's cool with us! If having the water or the blow dryer hot gives you sensory overload, just select the Low Heat Service under the Your Requirements section of the menu. ...
