23.01.2022 What else is there to say? I love me some good brows

23.01.2022 Absolutely obsessed with this lamination! We’ve turned these brows from thin to full and gorgeous without going over the top. Added dye (instead of tint) for a longer lasting stain and better colour result. Worth it

21.01.2022 Following my last post featuring that gorgeous lamination, there’s a few things I want to go over when it comes to Lamination. This has been trending for a little while now and some of the before and after results are absolutely mind-blowing! But just remember that we (brow/lash techs) tend to post our best photos and results. For those of you that haven’t really looked into it much, laminations; Work by perming the hairs and setting them straight to give the brows a fulle...r look, Last 6-8 weeks, Usually include a tint within the service, And must be kept dry for 48 hours. What you hear less, but should know: - They give better, immediate results on thinner/finer hairs (but can be easily over processed if the therapist is less experienced and leaves the solution on for too long) - Thicker and curlier hairs will need multiple, subsequent appointments to get the sleek effects that is seen in photos - Can make waxing more painful to sensitive skin as it will dry the skin (but may be overlooked by less experienced therapists. Tweezing should be performed instead) - Doesn’t have to be one type of look. Laminations can and should be modified for what suits each client. Not all have to be over the top big and fluffy. - Can make the tint process much faster and thus result in a different colour/darker than expected. I opt for a lighter tint and remove a portion quickly to check its processing. As always, pick your tech/therapist wisely! When working with solutions like these, there are always risks involved, especially when working on delicate skin and hairs on the face. Overprocessed brows can result in hair burning and breakage, and is not uncommon.
