25.01.2022 Its officially the first day of Winter! Im sure youve started wearing clothes suitable for the change in season leading up to Winter and hopefully, youve been doing the same thing with your foundation! I get it... we can all get caught up and continue to just use what we have until one day, we catch ourselves in the mirror and realise our face is a totally different colour to the rest of our body then you wonder how did I get here?! ... To prevent this from happening, I suggest that you always have at least 2 shades of foundations that you can mix together so you can have the perfect skin tone all year. 2 tips to make sure your darker foundation doesnt go to waste! You can use your darker summer shade for subtle contouring. With a brush, apply a small amount under your cheekbones, on the sides of your nose, along your hairline after youve applied your new foundation and then blend blend blend it all together with a beauty blender or sponge. Turn your darker shade of foundation into a tinted moisturiser by mixing a small amount of it with one of your favourite moisturisers. The moisturiser will dilute the darker shade but still give you sheer coverage. Even though its Winter, if you know youll be outdoors, be sure to wear sunscreen!

25.01.2022 L A S H P O S T Hope you all had a FANtastic weekend! I just had to post this little hand-made baby. ... In the last week Ive had 4 enquiries about whether I hand make my fans or if I use pre-mades. So, to set the record straight.. I personally DO NOT use premade fans when I do #lashextensions. Every lash technician has their own preferences when it comes to the lashes they use. To each their own and all power to those who do, but I choose not to. I purchased some pre-made fans when I first started lashing a few years back. Just to have a play and see if I liked them and I actually found them harder to work with. Besides that, I find it satisfying starting off with a strip of lash extensions and hand creating a beautiful new lash line for my clients. 25.01.2022 Left eye is el naturale with no lashes applied... Right eye is 3 quarters of the way through... (and yes, I forgot to take a proper side by side comparison or a final pic... - but at least I even took a pic! I usually forget altogether! So ) ... Lashes used were a mix of 0.03, 0.05 & 0.07 all in C curl as my lovely client wanted length over anything else. #studiosovereignlashes #hillslashtech #lashextensions

24.01.2022 Ive posted this pic before but thought Id post it from a different point of view. Ive been getting enquires regarding the lashes I use. Please note that all my fans are hand-made. To each their own but I dont use any pre-made fans in any of my lash applications. My lashes are synthetic faux mink lashes so you can rest assured knowing they are completely cruelty free! I have a range of lash extensions weights and lengths. ... My client base are a at a 50/50 split. Half love their lashes long and with a straighter curl - the longer the better, while the other half love their lashes short with a tighter curl. Each and every one of my clients have their own unique preference and some change up there lash design every few infills. Lash extensions are much more than taking some glue and plonking a bunch of false lashes onto your own. I take a heap of consideration into your eye shape, your natural lash line and above all, I want to ensure the integrity of your natural lashes are kept in tact.
