18.01.2022 Wishing all Studio Under The Stairs alumni, clients and friends good physical and mental health with all the precautions, disruptions and heightened anxiety we're currently experiencing. The studio will continue carefully to offer our services to creatives and arts-based small businesses and we will closely follow and implement all guidelines and regulations. The studio is currently staffed only by me and I'm offering one hour per day of free studio time (in total) to creativ...es and small arts-based businesses who need access to a voice booth for any reason through to March 31. Also, if you're a voiceover artist at any stage of your career and would like free feedback on your reel from a branding and industry cut-through perspective, please email me your reel and I'll provide reflections and advice through to March 31 this year at no cost. 07.01.2022 A year ago today, when expecting a full entourage in tow, I heard a gentle knock on the studio door and there was Sam Neill - by himself - coming to voice a script for the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF). I felt like a total imposter directing the session and he gave me a masterclass in graciousness after I plucked up the courage to ask for this selfie. And when I was overtaken by a snap-happy mania, placing a hand on my shoulder he gently suggested, "I think we have enough now, don't you?" Aaah.. cringeworthy celebrity nostalgia, eh?
