Furniture helps define the soul of a home, takes an empty house and gives it life. Come and find a truly unique piece of furniture that helps define your homes soul. ‘Furniture Defines Home’ opens on November 14th at Bungendore Woodworks Gallery, we would love to see you there. @bwoodworks #studiowoodworkersaustralia #furnituredesign #bungendore #woodwork #woodworker #woodworkaustralia #woodworking #woodworkerlife #maker #makersmovement #workshop #interiordesign #australiandesign #australianmakers #bespoke #bespokemaker #architecture #architectdesign #architect #australiandesign #austrailianmade

09.01.2022 We would love to congratulate Benjamin Reddan on becoming an accredited member of Studio Woodworking Australia. We pride ourselves on celebrating craftsmanship, and Benjamin’s work fits in perfectly. Benjamin Reddan is a cabinet furniture designer and maker, who works from his private studio, located in the Yarra Valley. He creates both unique bespoke and batch run pieces that are sold across Melbourne and interstate. Benjamin completed studies in Furniture Design at RMIT in... 2009, and followed this by completing an intensive cabinet furniture making apprenticeship from 2010-2014. Since then, has been running his own furniture design and fabrication business, trading under the name Soul of Bespoke. Benjamin prides himself on his attention to detail, which has stemmed from his philosophy that well-made woodwork is an art form with a soul, and every aspect of a piece, whether it’s a corner block, a hinge, or inlay, must be treated with respect. Beautiful work Benjamin, fantastic to have you on board at SWA. #SWA #studiowoodworkersaustralia #finefurniture #finefurnitureaustralia #makeraustralia #woodworkeraustralia #studiowoodworkers #cabinet #australianmaker #australiandesign #architectureaustralia #furnitureaustralia #woodworker #designermaker

03.01.2022 Another new Accredited Member to join the ranks, Gray Hawk, from South Australia. Stunning designs and craftsmanship underpin Gray Hawks catalogue of works. South Australian-based Gray Hawk is renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and the great artistry in his bespoke designs. His distinct aesthetic is informed by an Art Deco sensibility that is opulent in form and meticulous in detail. Richly hued timbers, such as Macassar Ebony and Red gum, lend each of his piece...s a rich materiality, while the incorporation of glass, stainless steel and bronze adds visual dynamism. I spent time with a team of blacksmiths and coach builders and learnt the skills of a wheelwright. While preserving the knowledge and art form, this experience now informs my current design and construction methodology. Quality of construction, detail, careful consideration and choice of material are Gray’s main concerns to create long lasting furniture and art pieces. A big welcome from Studio Woodworkers Australia @grayhawkdesign #studiowoodworkersaustralia #makersaustralia #woodworkers #makersdesigners #designersmakers #furnituremakersaustralia #furnituremakers #furnituredesigners #timberworks #interiordesign #bespoke #customfurniture #bespoketimberwork #bespokefurniture
