20.01.2022 With live shows in short supply at the moment, recording and streaming are becoming the new norm: We can now offer up to 64 channels of multitrack audio recording, which can be used for live streaming events, video releases, live albums, capturing conferences and meetings etc. As standard, we record everything to two independent machines - so there’s always a backup copy, if needed. ... 19.01.2022 Are you a corporate AV Tech who wants to up-skill in the audio department? Would you like to be mixing bands, but your company never gives you the opportunity, because they always call someone else? Well, boys and girls, we may have something for you!!... During this quiet time, we are looking at putting together some training sessions, specifically for corporate AV people, and specifically looking at how we deal with setting up and mixing bands. We would look at all aspects of band setups, including monitor systems, how to setup monitor consoles, basic mixing techniques, mic selections and placements, and whatever else you would like to know. Sessions can be tailored to meet individual requirements, and they can be as basic, or in depth as you would like. It's a great time for everyone to up-skill, and be ready for when we all go back to work - hopefully soon. 17.01.2022 For the first time since March, we actually have a console going out on hire for a few days. Good times.

15.01.2022 It’s fair to say that the SSL buss compressor is one of the most useful tools to have at your fingertips. From a light squeeze on the drums, to crushing a parallel buss, to adding the glue to an entire mix - it does it all. If you want a little different flavour, the API 2500 is it. Great on drums, guitars, master buss. Just an all round awesome comp. Add a C6 after either of these on your master buss feeding the PA, and voila, you’re good to go. ... The secret is to keep it all pretty subtle though (apart from parallel crush busses, of course), because over compressing your outputs is a sure fire way to make your mix lifeless and boring - like Coldplay.
