20.01.2022 HOMESTAY STORY OF THE MONTH Yufeng started his studies at UNSW Global and is now doing his Master of IT Degree at UNSW. He recently spoke about his unforgettable homestay experience with his homestay host family. Yufeng expressed his heartfelt thanks for the opportunity to live the culture, improve his English, and make lifelong friends. Thanks for your amazing feedback, Yufeng. We are thrilled you had an unforgettable experience in one of our homestays. Congratulations, also, on your extraordinary achievements in Australia. We would love to hear from other students as well. #homestay #homestaysydney #internationalstudents #studynsw #host #studyinaustralia #unsw @ Sydney, Australia

18.01.2022 Unforgettable homestay experiences Memorable homestay experiences are part of the study-abroad journey. At a time when there are multiple modes of education for customers to choose from, in-person learning remains as popular as ever.... Students go to a new country to enrich themselves and develop as young adults. Those who have studied overseas during their youth will tell you that it was the best time of their lives. Study Vision is delighted to be part of this life-changing voyage. We received this message recently, from two Thai students who had completed an English language course in a popular college in Melbournes central business district: We are leaving Rhondas homestay today. Thank you very much for finding the good homestay for us Vorada and Chayanan The benefits of the cultural exchange were clearly mutual. The homestay host, Rhonda, of Brighton, Melbourne, enjoyed it immensely, too. She presented each of her departing children with a gift to remember her by. Homestay experiences leave unforgettable impressions for both students and their host parents. Thank you and congratulations to Rhonda, for being such a great ambassador. You have shown the best of our culture to international guests who will always remember you and our country fondly. A happy farewell!

14.01.2022 Seasons greetings everyone, Please feel free to post some of the great memories that you share with your students during this festive time on our Facebook page. Lets share the true meaning of homestay Remember, stay safe these holidays!!!

13.01.2022 Just like a family When international students come to Australia, they are away from family and friends they have known all their lives. Some international students are barely old enough to have developed competent living skills. Many international students are using English as a non-native language to study challenging courses in universities and colleges.... For students on their own, it becomes all the more important to have the support of family. Because members of a family care for and help each other. And when we match students with the right homestay host, the bond is just like it is with their own family. We are sharing this special story from Linda of Glen Waverley, Melbourne. Linda wrote this to us: I wanted to narrate a very sweet and kind gesture on the part of one of our ex-students, Frank. Frank left our homestay a couple of months ago as he had a change in his university and it was no longer feasible for his commute. We got a surprise call and visit from Frank over the weekend. He had received a package from his mother in China in which she had sent him some face masks as a guard against the current crisis. Frank came over to make sure we had some protection, and gave masks for our family so we could stay safe! I wanted to say a special thank you to Study Vision for the high calibre of students provided by you, who make for a very memorable and substantial quality host experience. It is touching incidents like this that make the relationship of hosting such an irreplaceable connection. A big thank you to Linda. The pleasure is all ours.

12.01.2022 Downloading the app is something you can do to protect you, your family and friends and save the lives of other Australians. The more Australians connect to the COVIDSafe app, the quicker we can find the virus. The new COVIDSafe app is completely voluntary. 10.01.2022 We are delighted to announce that Study Vision is an approved homestay provider for the NSW Governments temporary crisis accommodation scheme for international students. You may already know the NSW Government is funding up to 20 weeks of free accommodation for vulnerable international students during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The scheme is delivered through approved student accommodation and homestay providers.... Study Vision has been positively overwhelmed by the amazing response from many homestay families who opened their hearts and homes to help these students. The NSW Government-funded initiative is not about offering commercial homestay rentals; rather, it is a gesture of kindness and support for international students during a time of need. We continue to receive an influx of applications from eligible students. Please be sure to contact us and find out more about this great initiative.

01.01.2022 Celebrating a happy birthday around the world Turning 19 is a tremendously special occasion. We wish student, Sze Nam, a very Happy Birthday! ... Sze Nam is from Hong Kong and is studying the University of Sydney Foundation Program at Taylors College. When Sze Nam turned 19 in early May this year, her homestay host, Garry, of Penshurst, Sydney, organised an amazing birthday party. Using online technology, Garry connected with Sze Nams mother and father in Hong Kong. Study Visions Office Manager, Jess, was privileged to be invited to join in the celebrations. We extend our special thanks to our fantastic host parent, Garry, for his care and thoughtfulness. Thank you also to Sze Nams education agent counsellor, Vivian Lee of Glocal Education Services Centre (GES), for playing such an important communicative role between Sze Nams mother and father in Hong Kong and all of us here in Australia. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to serve Sze Nam. From all of us at Study Vision, we wish Sze Nam a wonderful birthday and continued success in her studies. #covid19 #internationalstudents
