01.01.2022 Of the many things I wish for, for my quirky little girls (one is that they'd stand together long enough for a photo), nothing brings those wishes more starkly to the forefront than International Day of the Girl. Whilst they will face many inequalities here because of their gender, I hope they realize how lucky they are to live in a country where education is a right despite their gender, where they're unlikely to be sold as sex slaves, where their gender doesn't define what they might do in the future.
