25.01.2022 Big days grinding stumps in areas that have normally been to wet to access. With the last couple of days being so warm it's been full steam ahead !!! On Monday it was a personal best of 48 stumps , the Rayco fired up at 8am drank 3 tanks of fuel and shut down at 4:30pm... 24.01.2022 Todays little venture was in Traralgon removing 7 Cypress stumps...The Rayco machine munched through them in record time ! The owners were ecstatic as they now have a fantastic view into a valley..Who wouldnt be happy with this sort of outcome ??!!??

24.01.2022 Today was something different...I was in a hidden valley of paradise in a area I've been sworn to secrecy ...The area was steep like real steep with no other way in ...A row of trees had been removed and I was called in to do the stumps so the owners and adjoining neighbours could reseed the area and grow grass....Well ...Did I mention it was steep? I ground the stumps starting from the top going down the slope grinding as I went...The machine ground them perfectly but when i...t was at the bottom it was to steep to get traction to come back up...Luckily I wasn't to far from home and a mercy dash was required to go get the tracked mini loader...We tied a 25mtr rope to the machine and the other end to the loader and played the game of "Up we come !!" 24.01.2022 Todays little job was to remove a tree branch off a Dutch Elm...The branch was basically another tree with a circumference of 36 inches !!! Lee ( ProLop Tree Services) scaled this tree in record time and methodically dissected this large branch in no time.. 21.01.2022 Gippsland Stump Grinding Services. Today I was in Sale evicting 5 stumps from a fenceline that the owners have decided to widen to give them more driveway...From fence pallings to edge of concrete was 21.5 inches so the machine to be used had to have a small cutting wheel on it so this eliminated my larger machines and to really make things interesting the centre grass area of the driveway had been excavated 150mm ( 6 inches) Challenge accepted!! I took a smaller machine Toro 26hp because the cutting wheel was 20 inches and the drive tracks fitted in my ramps perfectly it was a delicate and tedious job but as you can see we won !!!

21.01.2022 We all know that saying of having all your ducks in a row but does that apply to trees and stumps? ?? To bloody right it does !! Todays job was to remove 10 Gum stumps that were in a row on a farm yard fence line , the owners can now mow/slash their front block without fear of damaging their slasher now !!! 21.01.2022 Todays little adventure was to remove a Lillypilli from a garden...Normally not a difficult job but when the owner has planted out his garden with delicate and exotic plants that he is very proud of it does present a challenge and gets the perspiration flowing , we completed the job with only one plant being slightly damaged !! That is "Nothing " can happ...en till the stumps and roots system are gone !! Todays job was to grind some large stumps and roots from a fenceline so the owners can have a new fence built.. It turned out to be a good call as the root system was quite extensive with some 300mm round roots making their way to the house slab ...In time these would have caused grief to the slab by cracking the foundations and blocking the drains etc.. 20.01.2022 Ants view !! Notice the way the soil banks up around the stump almost making it look like a volcano? This is the root flare from the stump , when we grind we start at the beginning of the hump which can sometimes be a metre or more away from the actual stump to make sure we get rid of the roots and to level out your area so its easy to mow and maintain !! 20.01.2022 Another huge day on the Toro loader spreading and levelling a farm property...The photos dont do it justice as the topsoil was spread at 100mm-150mm thickness all around the perimeter of the house , before I could do this I had to clear the piles of the site dig and fill areas where I could all in all a good outcome now the owners can put lawn seed down and start planning the rest of the garden...

20.01.2022 I love seeing the look on customers faces when they see the stumps being ground out of their gardens and the size of the hole which they think they have to fill in ....We grind the stumps , chase the roots and then fill the hole in compacting the soil as we go and only then rake out all excess soil to make a level surface with no trip hazards ready for grass seed!!! 18.01.2022 What do you do on a warm day with clear unlimited views?? Easy clear NBN towers of huge gums growing to close to the transmission panels !! Lee was 50 mtrs up lopping branches off one by one , limbs were being lowered down on ropes very carefully to avoid landing on all the electrickery doohickity boxes under the tower which I imagine would cost squillions !!!...Another top job completed and Telstra happy !!!

15.01.2022 Sometimes the most spectacular and innocent species of tree can cause severe problems... This big Silver Birch was planted on a easement with storm water lines etc running through ...To make things worse the street behind had units built all the way to the fence line !! The roots from this magnificent looking tree had found there way into the pipeline joints causing major problems , Lee Hollands climbed the tree ( look hard at the pic and you will spot him...I will give yo...u a hint , he is not wearing a striped shirt and looks nothing like Wally !!!) and dismantled it while I lovingly and carefully picked up the limbs and threw them in the chipper () To cut a long story short and a big tree into wood chips ....We fixed the problem and have another happy customer with other neighbours wanting work !!! 15.01.2022 Have you ever heard the saying "Sometimes the juice isn't worth the squeeze" ? We were faced with problem tree in a backyard that had absolutely no access to it from the property that the tree was on which normally isn't a problem as you would ask the neighbouring property if you could access it through their land...What are the chances of 2 properties having no rear yard access? We were granted access but had to carefully remove the fence panels from the front of the house ...then remove their rear fence panel then drag the chipper in with the mini loader before a start on the tree could even begin !!! 13.01.2022 How boggy and wet is the ground !! We were called in to do a row of Cypress stumps on a rural property which is part of the norm for us so no real problem or so I thought....I unloaded the stump grinder and made it to the first stump then the machine sunk in the mud at this stage I knew I was flogging a dead horse. The next 20 minutes was unbogging the machine and loading it on the trailer to take it home and figure out the next level of attack...Lightbulb moment !! 09.01.2022 Big day in Hernes Oak doing a big stump . I kept grinding while the owner of the property kept scraping all the stump mulch away until we took out all the stump and root system...I estimate we went down in most areas a minimum of 400mm 4 hours later stump gone , mulch scraped , hole filled , machine on trailer and customer happy !!!

06.01.2022 Part 2 of Maffra job !! Now that we have cleared all the trees it was obvious that the land needed to be leveled so Joffa and Kerry could plan their garden as they wanted...The previous owner must have worked for a Roller Coaster company it was so lumpy and bumpy !!! Not anymore !!!

Wednesday was a huge day taking down a couple of Gum trees...Lee was in the tower dropping limbs like crazy while I was on the Mini loader grabbing everything and putting it on the burn pile !! 3 full removals and approx 8 major trims completed in one long day with everything cleared and burnt !!! The owners now have magnificent views and can plan future planting.

04.01.2022 Today's job was removing a large dead tree in Churchill from a garden that was in the same league as a botanical garden !!. This tree towered over the rest of the trees and had to be dismantled with care and finesse to not damage any trees or plants underneath Lee took on the challenge and won !!! Firewood cut , lawns and garden raked clean of all debris , stump ground and a very happy customer with more treeworks planned !!!

02.01.2022 Another day another Huuuge stump !! Todays challenge was in Pound Creek ( approx 22 KMs out of Leongatha) The stump was huge and the owners wanted the stump totally removed so new fencing and a garden could be planned the problem was there was a major Fibre optic communications cable and gas to contend with...Locater had been out and thankfully found the areas to avoid so we could begin the long task of grinding. The stump was approx 2.5 mtrs wide and had to be nibbled at like a apple as my machine can only swing at 850mm wide side to side...Job completed and and another happy customer added to the long list of Gippsland Stump Grinding Services.

02.01.2022 Talk about tight access!! Today I was called into a retirement home to remove a large gum stump from a tiny garden with a tiny access gate...I removed the gate and hinges and managed to get the machine in with 2mm to spare!! Once the machine was in the next challenge was to turn it around to get to the stump to cut a long story short after doing a 50 point turn job completed !!

No trees today just stump grinding which Im grateful for as it was to bloody hot to be dragging branches and wood out today...The stumps were of a reasonable size and the owner wanted them gone so he could plan his garden without mowing around them constantly. 01.01.2022 I must learn how to take good photos and more importantly "before photos" !! This country property has a industrial rubbish bin at the back of the property but because the Cypress Pine have grown without being trimmed the truck that picks the bin up doesnt like coming here anymore as the branches hit and damage his truck...Well not anymore !! I spent the whole day cutting limbs off and pulling dead broken limbs down with the mighty Toro. Apart from the trees I ground two large stumps and levelled out another area thats going to be turned into a carpark area. Mission completed and now kicking back enjoying a couple of Vodka and Lemons but must admit feeling a little knackered!!!
