24.01.2022 Sturdie have commenced the undergrounds for the new $100 million state-of-the-art secondary school being built in Whyalla to accommodate 1500 students in years 7 to 12. This includes 48 inclusive places for students with disability. The new school is located on Nicolson Avenue in Whyalla Norrie in between the UniSA and TAFE campuses, forming an education precinct to provide students with strong links to further study options. The school will replace Whyallas 3 existing high school campuses - Edward John Eyre High, Whyalla High and Stuart High. Sturdie will be completing the full installation for electrical, communications, security and CCTV services inhouse for this project. First fix cabling will commence soon in Building 3, the project team are smashing it!

21.01.2022 Sturdie are very proud to announce that Michael Main was a finalist in the NECA SA Apprenticeship Awards recently. Michael has been an outstanding apprentice and will be a future leader. To get nominated and to be chosen as a finalist with so many entrants in this category shows just how skilled and dynamic Michael is, great work Michael.

18.01.2022 Grace Apartment, Glenside Cedar Woods - Residential Following the successful delivery of the Stage 1 Botanica Apartments at Glenside, Sturdie has been awarded the next stage in this prestigious residential development by Sarah Constructions.... The Stage 2 Grace Apartments is currently under construction and comprises an intimate group of 42 apartments over 4 levels incorporating a superbly appointed penthouse. Each of the one, two and three bedroom apartments are architecturally designed and situated within a unique parkland setting overlooking the heritage building precinct and the city. Also in alignment with Botanica, Grace Apartments achieves a 7-Star NatHERs Rating for sustainable living. Sturdie are undertaking the full electrical, communications and electronic security trade services with the site team doing a tremendous job to date, the expected completion is May 2021.



18.01.2022 The Whyalla Secondary School has now progressed to the first fix stage in Buildings 3 and 4! The guys have been busy installing cable tray and power cabling while the remaining structure is being installed in Buildings 1 to 5. We are honored to be working on the project with Sarah Constructions.

14.01.2022 We've been working at the Torrens Island power station installing two backup generators for the past ten months. Both generators are now in a position with 95% of the cabling installed. We've completed arc fault and protection studies and will commence commissioning in December. 13.01.2022 Sturdie are currently installing the electrical services for the new Cask Halls 20 and 21 at Wolf Blass Winery. Working direct for the Winery and alongside Ahrens, Sturdie are in the process of installing over 1200 metres of cable ladder and over 250 lights into the Cask Halls. 11.01.2022 The electrical services for the expansion and rejuvenation works at Helping Hand Ingle Farm was completed in May 2020 while the facility was being occupied, which took a lot of coordination. The project included additional sitting rooms, support offices, nurse’s stations and upgrades to the front reception entry, café and hairdresser. Sturdie would like to thank Kennett's and Helping Hand Aged Care for the opportunity to be part of this 2 year project.

06.01.2022 Thanks to our Melbourne based team for delivering such an outstanding and challenging project for a large national logistics business in Laverton Victoria, securing the clients fifty thousand square metre yard including warehouse. 06.01.2022 Sturdie are proud to announce the completion of the electrical services along with communications, solar and backup generator at (AWL) Animal Welfare League for Kennett Builders. Since 1964, Animal Welfare League (AWL) has been creating happy homes for stray and abandoned animals, including pets whose owners can no longer properly care for them. They reunite lost dogs and cats with their human family, provide temporary shelter through their foster care program and support thousands of responsible owners by boarding their pets. It has been great to be a part of this project and to make a difference for this much needed organisation. We are also very proud of our project and site teams, they did an amazing top notch job on this project!!

04.01.2022 Sturdie is progressing well with the $10 Million School Upgrade at Salisbury High School with Kennett Builders. The demolition of part of the existing school is underway as well as cable tray and first fix cabling. The Sturdie project team are doing a great job.



03.01.2022 Sturdie would like to thank Treasury Wines for the opportunity to complete the electrical services for the new Cask Halls 20 & 21 at Wolf Blass Winery. The Cask Hall are 220 metres long and consumed 1200 metres of cable ladder, 250 light fittings and 16.6 km of cable. The team on site did a fantastic job, well done to everyone involved.
