25.01.2022 Saturday afternoon SBC baseball results: ALL JUNIOR GAMES ARE CANCELLED SUNDAY 15.11.20 DUE TO THE HEAT RULE - MAX FORECAST 37 Division 4: Angels 2 @ Sturt 1. great game of baseball by all accounts. Comeback kid Josh Wilson throwing 6 innings wasn't enough to get the Saints over the line. Close but no cigar. Still scratching for that elusive win Division 5: West Torrens 6 @ Sturt 6. Tied thriller keeps the Saints with an unbeaten record - just. Sitting clear second on the tab...le with the heaviest team in baseball history above them. Division 6: Sturt 5 @ Woodville 11. Now at 2-4 for the season Division 7R: Sturt 9 @ Woodville 9. Another outstanding performance from the evergreen Barry "the bear" Lunnon. Team at 5-1. Division 7B: Glenelg 12 @ Sturt 4. Three wins, three losses for the season. Balnar needs to lift. Senior League: Sturt 14 v Port 6 @ Flinders. Good win puts the team at a handy 4-2 six weeks in. Photos of the team tidying up the diamond. Saints had a bye. Tomorrow the 1's, 2's & 3's take on Northern Districts at Northern Districts. Sitting on the hill under the gum trees at Norths watching the mighty Saints is an excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon (& morning). See you at the ball park - Go Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

23.01.2022 Sunday Afternoon SBC Baseball Results Pictured are the Garcia, Stewart & Dawson brothers who all played Division 2 this afternoon together at Norths. Have we ever had 3 sets of brothers in the same team? Congratulations to Club Secretary Adam Kerr and his beautiful bride Nicole Eleftheriou on their nuptials over the weekend. Also pictured is Club Skipper Angus Roeger and his lovely bride Chloe Haynes and three of our players that attended Chloe & Angus’ ceremony last weekend.... Results: Division 1 Sturt 15 @ Northern Districts 3 Division 2 Sturt 10 @ Northern Districts 1 Division 3 Sturt 5 @ Northern Districts 9 Due to the hot weather policy all junior games were cancelled. 2’s & 3’s limited to 90 minutes and 1’s to 2 hours. 2 wins out of 3 ain’t bad Go Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

16.01.2022 Friday Night lights. SBC WD 1 results It was a case of chocolates to boiled lollies for the Sturt women tonight at HQ. The young Saints got their first win of the season winning comfortably against Goodwood 20-5 on Diamond II. Reports said the win warmed the cockles of their supporters hearts witnessing the team's maiden Division 1 win. Onwards and upwards!... Main event for the evening was the rematch of the previous two season's best teams. The battle of the titans between Sturt & Glenelg resulted in Glenelg getting their first win against the Sturt team 12-3. Always next week. Thanks to Theresa Warburton for sending the results pigeon Club baseball continues with a full card tomorrow at home featuring Men's Div 7, 5.& 4. Senior League at Flinders. Sunday there's a great line up of quality baseball at Sturt - Jimmy Passmore's LL1's, Matthew "the undefeated" Johnston's IL, and Dutchy Hollands Junior League the feature matinee playing on the hallowed turf of Norman Bates Reserve. Men's senior team are away to Norfs. Go Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

14.01.2022 Christmas celebrations and Sponsors Day this Saturday. Baseball all day from 9:30am to 7pm. Raffles, Merch, Pizza, Asian Cold rolls, Pork Sliders, Canteen open. ... Santa heading in around 4:30pm with a few giveaways for the young ‘uns.

12.01.2022 Friday night lights! WD1 Sturt 21 v Goodwood 0 @ West Beach: The girls are back in town! After a, shall we say "slow" start to the season, the reigning premier came out led by eepheus specialist Shelly Neller, together with a strong hitting the line up, the team enjoyed their first win of the season. Thanks to Karen Tindall for scoring WD1: Woodville 5 v Saints 3 @ West Beach The Saints lost a tight one against the Senators down at West Beach 2 tonight. Cool and breezy conditions faced both teams described by scorer Theresa Warburton as "balmy". The Saints got the first run of the evening but the Senators replied with 3 of their own. The Saints evened the contest in the 4th but yet again the Senators replied with two of their own and took out an entertaining game of baseball 5-3.

12.01.2022 He's backkkkk....................... Mr T - Terrell Joyce, the Sultan of Swat returns to Sturt for 2021 and will feature in Wednesday night's twilight game against GGCD at Sturt at 6pm. Get down to the club and cheer on Terrell and the top of the table Saints and they look to keep the momentum going for the last 20 games of season 2020/21.

05.01.2022 Late news - our Little League 2 team won 18-14 at Kensington. Well done to everyone

05.01.2022 GGCD 2 @ Sturt 7 Welcome back Terrell Joyce and he didn't disappoint with a stand up double with his first at bat, a near fence clearer with his second (caught) and a 10 pitch at bat which he hustled a single and started the 6th innings scoring rally. Great to have him back at the club A closer game than the scoreline suggested. ... No score through the first 4 innings, two runs in the fifth courtesy of a terrific at bat from Sonny Beaumont, a double from Tyler Chappell and a sac fly from Harry Knuckey gave the Saints a 2 run lead after 5 innings. Bottom of the 6th the game got away from the Dodgers with the Saints scoring 5 on the back of a fielding error to put the result just about beyond doubt with the Dodgers having just the one remaining innings. Another stellar outing from Jackson Brebner-Russ. 6.2 innings, 2 earned runs and 9 K's . Special mention to Tyler Chappell with 3 RBI's to continue his excellent season and Jackie Dawson with 2 hits to keep his name in front of the selectors. Saints remain top with a 10-1 record.

03.01.2022 Sunday SBC results: Photos from Junior League game at Flinders Division 2: Gawler 7 @ Sturt 10. At one stage trailing 6-1 the Saints rallied to take out the win. Austin Parkinson (Div 2 debut) & Jamie Vidale did the job on the hill & Willy Wirth with a 2 run bomb was best with the bat... Division 3: Gawler 6 @ Sturt 7. Down 6-4 mid 4th the Saints found 3 runs to squeak home by the barest of margins. Thanks to Sue Brebner-Russ for scoring Junior League: Sturt 14 v Port Adelaide 7 @ Flinders. Good win on the back of good hitting and consistent pitching. Intermediate League Sturt 7 @ Goodwood 7. First non-win of the season and its a draw on the back of a good fightback and then a tense hold to get a point out of the game, Thank you Carol Burns for scoring. Little League 1: Sturt 9 v Port 7 @ Flinders, Getting close to a W and improving all the time. Little League 2: Sturt ? @ Kensington ? Minors: Saints 0 @ Woodville 0 (yes, that's correct!)
