23.01.2022 Taking inspiration from the beautiful book ‘Junk DNA’ by Clare Thompson our children were invited to explore our amazing loose parts table. Our loose parts consisted of many donated and collected nuts, bolts, pre used keys, hinges, spark plugs, allen keys, shifters and spanners. This provocation was definitely open ended and definitely provoked. It provoked thoughts, discussions, questions and ideas. 10.01.2022 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle After many discussions on sustainability, in particular recycling our Pre Kinder children were invited to recycle paper. The children immediately became excited and went to retrieve all the drawings and scrap paper they no longer required. They ripped their paper into small pieces, pushed it into the moulds and watched as it dried.
