21.01.2022 It will be a busy week covering @basketball_tas upcoming state championships in October. The traditional championship month will turn into championship week this year as we try and play catch up due to Covid-19. I have had plenty of messages asking if I will again be covering so I thought I would put a post out. If you are after some shots from these events let me know as soon as you can and once the schedules are out I can start collating game times etc. The earlier the better. 09.01.2022 A few pics from the Devonport Strikers road trip to Riverside yesterday. The under 18 game marked the first time our boys have played in the same team together so I went a little overboard there! Also, apologies to the girls about not getting any shots of your game, but after a week on the road and 5 odd hours shooting in the cold, it was time to get the family home. 07.01.2022 Great to be back on the floor competing with the Future Development Program Camp. Under 14s on the floor today in Devonport, Hobart and Launceston. Over 120 athletes state wide in this age group and we will do it all again tomorrow with the Under 12s.

02.01.2022 In 2020 we have been forced by the COVID-19 break to make some adjustments to our regular timing of Championship events. What normally would be our Championshi...p Month of weekends in September will now be compacted into an exciting Championship Week in the School Holidays in October. Starting during the term 3 school holidays our Championship events are: Under 10s - Thursday 1 October and Friday 2 October. (Elphin -Launceston) Under 12s Saturday 3 October and Sunday 4 October. (Devonport) Under 16s and Under 18s Tuesday 6 October and Wednesday 7 October. (Elphin - Launceston) Under 14s Thursday 8 October and Friday 9 October. (Elphin-Launceston) Joining the teams from the TJBL Northern and Southern Conferences will be the club teams in Launceston who are preparing for a big week in their home city - City, Devils, Japara, Saints and Trojans. Our membership has shown a great desire to resume playing after the impacts of COVID-19 and we are anticipating an excellent interest in the State Championships for this year in what has been a unique set of circumstances. Entry is now open and all the event details are placed on the BTAS website.
