25.01.2022 As a boutique town planning company, you speak directly with the people that make things happen.

25.01.2022 This is an interesting article that analysis a VCAT decision where Mark Waldon represented the client who planned to build four x 3 storey dwellings on a site in the City of Monash.

24.01.2022 Wishing you all a fantastic 2019, full of events to celebrate and be thankful for. If you need us, St-wise is opened throughout the holiday season.

21.01.2022 "Mandy and Mark from St-Wise are beyond professional, they not only helped immensely throughout the process, though took personal interest in our situation. We would, and have, recommended St-Wise and their services to others. Their approach and communication are second to none, with their detailed, knowledgeable understanding of all aspects of planning and regulations being impeccable.... Mark’s intelligent and considered response at our VCat hearing, undoubtedly influenced the positive final outcome. Thankyou again for all your assistance and to ultimately help us achieve the outcome we desired. Yours Sincerely, Drew and Amanda Skinner". Thanks, Drew and Amanda so happy for you both, happy building. M & M

18.01.2022 When it comes to multi-unit developments Council insists on recessed garages. Obviously this is not the case with single dwellings .

16.01.2022 According to the VCAT annual report 2017 - 2018 the most applications to VCAT were from the local government area of Monash. Second, in line was Melbourne followed by Bayside.

13.01.2022 While we are in social isolation some VCAT hearings are being conducted 'on the papers'. This means that all parties get to put their case in writing. Submissions are shared and the parties are given a right of reply. Finally, when VCAT has all submissions and comments the Tribunal Member can proceed to a decision. This will be a written decision and circulated to all parties. All scheduled hearings are being delayed by at least 4 weeks at this stage.

10.01.2022 So nice when you receive emails like this from clients." Oh my lord, best news ever, feel like making a thank you speech like those actors at the Oscar awards. Nevertheless, I want to thank you guys for a great result and Mark, if you didn’t live so far I’d come over now and give you the biggest hug. This has made my year. Thanks again Carlo"

07.01.2022 Stop the presses! Just heard from VCAT that you can no longer change the name of the applicant when making an application to VCAT. Let me explain - if your original application to Council is in the name of your representative, let's say your architects company, you will be up for corporate fees when applying to VCAT. So beware, all applications to Council should be in the name of the person who wants the permit not their representative. It will be possible down the track to change the name of the applicant for a VCAT matter but you will not get a refund on the corporate fees paid. One may say this new policy is nothing but a state government fund raiser! grrrrrr

03.01.2022 VCAT update: At this stage, it appears that hearings relating to Town Planning application are going ahead via written submissions. Want to know more, just ask us!
