23.01.2022 Tell me in the comments below, on a scale of 1-10, how consistent are your social posts? For example do you post regularly each week? Do you follow a regular style or pattern with your posts? Do you have a common theme/style? Having a beautifully curated Instagram feed and a regular presence is so important ... Why? Because it’s the first thing a visitor sees when they land on your profile. They can see how professional you are and can instantly tell what they can expect from you and hopefully that makes them more likely to hit that ‘follow’ button PS. 21.01.2022 Who's enjoying working from home? Me! I absolutely LOVE working from home. I've been doing it a while (since way before Covid) and people ask my all the time 'don't you find it hard to get motivated?' My answer is always 'Not. At. All'. Firstly I'm a Mum so the child-free work hours I get are precious so it's usually head down, bum up. If I don't get the work done, it doesn't get done and I don't get paid - so that's really motivation enough! ... But if you are struggling with working from home here are some other tips: Always get out of bed and get ready for the day. Change into something other than pj's and brush your hair and even put on a little make up. When you feel good it makes all the difference - plus you are prepared if you need to jump on a last minute Zoom call!!! Have a time that you need to be at your desk. If it's 9am or something else, set a time and don't start any later. Put on some background music to help you get in the zone. Remove distractions. If you can't resist picking up your phone every 5 minutes put it in the next room. Work time is work time so if friends or family call tell them you are too busy to chat and you will call them back later. I'd love to know, what do you love or hate about working from home?

16.01.2022 Are you building an email list? An email list is far more valuable than social followers. Why? You own your list and have control over it. You are also getting directly to your followers inbox - whether they open or not depends on how much value you give them (I'll go into that another day).... But capturing emails through your website should be a big marketing goal. How do you do that? By giving them something of value in return. Think about your ideal client and their needs. What problems do they need solved? How can you give that to them? Some examples include: Done for you downloads or templates PDF guide or ebooks Swipe files Free trial or discount to products/services Webinars or free workshops Access to a private FB group A free challenge Access to a resource library A video series The list is endless. 15.01.2022 Who's like me and guilty of neglecting their Facebook business page? Don't be too quick to write off old Facebook. I recently realised that 33% of my web traffic comes from there Well to be honest I knew that for a little while but didn't do anything about it because my to-do-list was too long! Anyway, I gave my self a little kick up the butt and I gave it a little tidy up. I thought I'd share with you the things I did incase you want to spruce up your own Facebook home.... I updated my cover image: The old one was outdated and didn't reflect my current business. (Psst: if you need a stylish new cover image, you know where I am ) I changed my call to action button: I recently introduced an online booking system for potential clients with a free 30 min chat so I added that link to encourage bookings. You could include a link to your services, freebie or contact page. I updated my pinned post: I included an up-to-date photo of me (to personalise the page) and the caption now contains links to my main services and products (making it easy for visitors to see what I do and where they can find what they need). I also checked my about page info was current. So, now it's over to you. Is it time your Facebook page had a little overhaul? Schedule in some time and get onto it.

13.01.2022 Social media tip // Posts that show faces get more likes People love a personal connection so the more you can personalise your posts the more your followers will get to know you and buy from you. If you don't believe me test it out! Be brave and post a pic of yourself and see how much more engagement that post gets compared to other posts ... 11.01.2022 #FAQ // I get asked a lot by clients who are starting a new business ‘what do I need to get started?’ In current times there are lots of people starting up online businesses so I thought I’d share my advice here. Firstly you need a logo design: Your logo design forms the basis of your brand. It will set the ‘look’ for your business and give you a style to follow and implement across all of your online marketing. Investing in a professional logo design is a must.... A website: If you are selling products then your website is super important - you need a website platform that is aimed at online selling. Lot's of things come into play when selling online so your website needs to work for you to convert those sales. If you are a service based biz then you can get away with a single page website to get you started. You can always build on it later as your business grows but for now you really need to make it clear who you are, what you offer and how you can help. Social media: This is something you can take care of yourself or get some help with but I can't stress enough how much it will help your business is you really focus on your social media. It is a great tool to use to help potential customers find you. Those are the basics I normally recommend to get started and then once you are up and running you can really work on your online marketing and building an email list. Make it part of your routine and spend 10 minutes at the start and end of each day engaging with other accounts. Like and comment on posts, respond to comments on your own posts and reply to DMs.

I hope seeing this reminds you to do something for yourself today, no matter how small that is For me, Covid hit and things got crazy which mean't I really neglected me. Here's some little things I've started doing to turn it back around:... Exercise daily Eat (a little) healthier Go to bed earlier A nightly Doterra oils ritual to relax and wind down Change the way I work - take on less work at once and book in advance. And take a week off to catch up and rest (this is happening in a couple of weeks time ) Share with me, what regular habits do you have to look after yourself?
