17.01.2022 I dont know about you but seismic events in my personal life make me re-evaluate my contribution to the world - this week again offered me such an opportunity. My Father-In-Law finally lost his valiant battle against a terminal illness, and we are devastated. Too often we are reminded of the fragility of life when one is taken right in front of you. Is selling weight loss products a frivolous way to earn a living, I thought to myself? Am I contributing to society in a me...aningful way? And then I received an email from one of my beautiful customers saying she lost 11kgs in 3 weeks and husband lost 20kg in 6 weeks. The weight loss figures are great no doubt, but more importantly they are both living healthier lives. They did all of the hard work, dont get me wrong!! But I feel energised to know that I had some very small part in this. Take care everyone. Hold your loved ones tight and have a wonderful Easter. p.s. The weight loss business is hard - it is a very emotive subject and some people are desparate to get started and see results. But the abuse and mistrust I am constantly shown has taken a toll. Let me state categorically, I am not a weight loss charlatan trying to get money off you at any cost. I care. I have been there and have been ripped off. I am not that person. I am just some online business to many of you, but there is a real person who gives a crap running it! 14.01.2022 **** Recipe Wednesday **** Lets face it , as the weather gets colder dieting becomes harder. Cravings for comfort food coupled with lovely layers of clothes make losing those last few kilos seem best tackled in warmer months. Fear not, there are ways to cook delicious warming food within the diet guidelines. Lets start with a recipe for stock that can be used as a base for soups and a number of other winter friendly dishes. Chicken Stock... - 6 x 100g pieces of skinless chicken breast - 8 cups of water - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder - 1/4 teaspoon onion powder - 1/4 teaspoon celery salt - 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt Method: Place water and seasonings in a large pot on the stove, and stir until dissolved. Add chicken then turn pot on to a Medium/High heat until it boils. Once boiling, cover and turn down to a low/medium heat and simmer until the chicken is cooked. Remove the chicken once cooked. Store each of these now cooked chicken pieces for later meals (can be frozen once cooled). Use the remaining liquid as your stock. Remember you can add, change or remove seasonings based on your preferred tastes. Fresh herbs are also a great addition.

14.01.2022 ****** Recipe Wednesday******** One of the things I missed when first following this protocol was the carb and starch accompaniments that went with our food - rice with curries etc and pasta with just about anything. But instead of finding a poor substitute, I found two new ways to add substance to family meals that are both delicious and nutritious. Namely Zoodles and Cauliflower rice. I must admit that I was excited about adding rice back into the mix post diet but my body... said a firm NO WAY. Give them a try - you will be surprised how they can lift and compliment a meal Zoodles Simply use a spiraliser to create the noodles. Use as much zucchini as your vegetable allowance will permit. Place the zucchini in a colander to drain some of the water away. These taste fantastic raw, or simply allow the heat of the food you place on top (such as a bolognese mix) to warm the zoodles. If you prefer them cooked, place them in the microwave for about 30-45 seconds. Cauliflower Rice Place cauliflower in a food processor and blitz until it resembles a rice/cous cous consistency. Then place in a microwave container and cook on High for 3 minutes (maybe a little less the first time around so you can adjust for the power of your microwave). You can cook a big batch of the Cauliflower rice then freeze portions. Use these as a side dish or in the same way you would normally use rice or pasta.

I have to be honest with you - I started this venture as a stay-at-home mum wanting to earn a little money on the side from a product I used and had great success with. Little did I know how big this would grow and how much time I needed to invest to see my little pocket money venture flourish. 09.01.2022 Sublime Wellness FAQs: I often have people ask questions about the taste - or lack of taste - of Sublime Wellness homeopathic weight loss drops. This is especially true if people have used other brands in the past! Sublime Wellness drops have little or no taste because they have a much lower alcohol content than other brands and use only Pure Grain alcohol which has little to no taste. 09.01.2022 ***** Recipe Wednesday ***** Winter warmers that are quick to prepare are essential to surviving the colder months on the hCG diet. I love curries and was surprised (and happy) to find that you can still cook a nice tasty curry within the diet guidelines. Chicken Curry... - 100g cubed chicken breast - 1/4 cup chicken stock (see previous recipe on how to make) - 1/4 tsp curry powder (check for fillers) - pinch tumeric - pinch garlic powder (to taste) - pinch onion powder (to taste) - 1 Tbs onion, finely chopped - pinch each of salt and pepper - pinch of cayenne (omit if you dont like things too spicy) Add stock and spices to a frypan/wok and cook until spices dissolve. Add in chicken and onion then cook until the liquid has reduced by half and the chicken in cooked. Serve with cauliflower rice or other steamed vegetables of your choice.

08.01.2022 A few people have queried the use of Grain Alcohol in the product and whether it would impact people with a gluten intolerance. The naturopathic team who make the formula assure me that the distillation process used to make the alcohol leaves the grain element non-existent. Coupled with the very small amount of alcohol we use in this formula, no grain content would register. But as always, please check with a medical professional if you have any concerns.

06.01.2022 ***** Recipe Wednesday ****** Today I am sharing one of my favourite hCG recipe discoveries. I love the taste so much it is now a staple whether I am in an hCG round or not. Spinach and Basil Pesto (4 serves)... - 1 cup baby spinach - 1 bunch basil - 3 cloves garlic - 1.5 level tablespoons apple cider vinegar (ACV) - 1 lemon, juiced - 1/4 level teaspoon fresh oregano - 1/8 level teaspoon salt - 1/8 level teaspoon pepper Blend all of the ingredients together and enjoy. I love this mixed through some Zoodles (zucchini noodles) for a quick, nutritious side with your protein. It is also wonderful as a garnish for chicken, fish and even steak. I have found an excuse to use this pesto with just about everything :) I tend to whizz up a huge batch, then put it in ice cube trays to freeze little portions. As with all of these recipes, experiment with the spices until you find a blend that makes your mouth zing!

03.01.2022 **** Recipe Wednesday ***** Apologies for being a little quiet. The flu well and truly had me down for the count, but thankfully I am vertical again :) And there is no better way to get over the flu than with Chicken Soup. Chicken Soup... - 100g cooked chicken - celery (use as much from your vegetable allowance as you would like) - 1-2 cups of Chicken Stock (see recipe from 6th April 2016) - 3 cloves garlic - 1 tbs onion flakes/powder - 1/2 tsp dried parsley - 1/2 tsp dried basil - ground white pepper (to taste) - salt (to taste and optional) Combine all ingredients except chicken and blend in a food processor until combined. Then blend until soup reaches the desired consistency. Pour into a saucepan and bring to the boil, reduce heat to a simmer and add in cooked chicken. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked. You can add the chicken into the blender but I personally like the chicken pieces in the soup. Serve with a side of vegetables (balance of your vegetable serve) or you can simply add more veggies into the soup mix.
