My eight year old son has always been behind in his reading and writing , my husband and I decided it was very important that we found someone to assist him in a relax and non threatening environment. We found Mrs Gay Brown on the internet, her photo and website gave us a sense of warmth and kindness and we immediately new that she was an option to look into. On my first meeting with Mrs Brown I knew we had made the right decision, ...welcoming my son and i into her home where it was peaceful and relaxing. I was slightly worried about how my son would react to being left for the lesson time considering he is a shy timid little boy. I was pleasantly surprised upon my return he was cheerful chatting away and very excited about his reading books. Over the weeks I saw my sons attitude to reading and writing change, he has continued to move up in reading levels and is enjoying reading and writing stories. This is a credit to Mrs Browns lessons and I would recommend her to any parent who is looking for tutoring for their child in a very friendly and professional relaxing environment. I would like to thank Mrs Brown for all her wonderful help and guidance she gave my son over the past year and her persistence and dedication to my son really shone through with his continued success. 18.01.2022 ...a testimonial for prospective students to read. I had just arrived in Perth and my son couldnt speak a single word in English. He was very unhappy, shy and scared at school, and I was very sad too. So, my friend gave me Mrs. Brown contact. Vitor started the lessons in August 2013. In the beginning he only could repeat... what Mrs. Brown said. But after one month he was able to speak some words and he could understand what she wanted him to do. He looked forward to going to the Mrs. Browns house every Saturday to show her his toys and he also looked forward to eating the snacks she put on the kitchen table! She was always very kind and polite, even when he did silly things Vitor liked her so much that she became a great friend for all of us!!! But the most amazing thing about her lessons was the way she encouraged him and how he became a confident boy. And how it was important for me I was very happy to see Vitors development at school. He made friends and he was very popular, according to the Pre Primarys teacher last year. Now, after almost one year we are leaving Australia and we will miss Mrs. Brown. I think she didnt know how important she was to our family. When a woman becomes a mother, all she wants is the happiness of her kids. If the kids are happy, so we are. Ms. Gay is such a wonderful teacher with a warm, caring qualities. 4 years ago we moved into Perth when my son was in year 3 and she has been his tutor since then. Together her English teaching skills, she knows how to communicate with the children. The lessons are well designed for him to keep him focused during an hour session. She selects exactly the right material that fits with his English skill and age, to make lessons fun, hence more productiv...e. It was not a surprise that once a week lesson blended well into his daily life and became his fun time. She is also a great mentor of him. The lessons are not just learning English, but also gave him a moment to make himself at home while communicating in English. We were happy to see his English has been improved significantly, as well as his confidence that he became a part of the local community. He entered high school this year and enjoying his school life and Ms. Gays lesson is definitely the enabler.
