20.01.2022 The intruder bound Rob's wrists and ankles and tied him to the bed. Blindfolded and gagged, he was repeatedly punched to the head. http://www.9news.com.au//intellectually-disabled-pensioner
19.01.2022 ****The Power of Social Media**** At 2am this morning a member of this page woke to find that his caravan had been stolen from his residence in Newcastle, NSW. Details of his caravan including a description and the registration details were displayed on various Facebook for sale sites in and around the Newcastle areas. At 11am a member of one of these sites contacted the owner of the caravan and stated that a male had been attempting to reverse the caravan (with the registra...tion provided) into another property 30mins from where it had been stolen. The owner of the caravan attended the location, but the person of interest evaded Police who arrived shortly afterward. Police are currently conducting further investigations into the incident and the owner has the caravan back in his possession. A perfect example of the power of private policing and social media working together. 'The police are the public and the public are the police; the duty of policing is incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence'. Sir Robert Peel.
15.01.2022 Pair your IP security camera with Suburb Safe, and we can keep tabs on your prize alpaca, look over your stash of gold bullion or make sure the ratty neighbours' kids aren't destroying your camellias again. Whether you're on the beach in Thailand or elbowing your way through a Moroccan souq, we'll keep you up to date. Now that's innovation.
13.01.2022 'The man entered a bedroom where an 85-year-old woman was asleep. He woke her, and demanded cash, while holding a knife in his hand'.
07.01.2022 The Broken Window theory in practice. The idea is that peoplespecifically potential criminalstake cues from their surroundings and calibrate their behaviour based on what they see. If a city is litter-free and its buildings are well-maintained, people will be less likely to litter or vandalise there, because they will sense that they will be held accountable if they do so.
01.01.2022 The findings of the study conclude that zero tolerance and rapid removal graffiti policies may actually increase vandalism or merely shift the problem elsewhere. http://www.spatialsource.com.au//maps-to-challenge-sydney/
