25.01.2022 Remembering Graham and Subbie. "There will never ever be another Subbie. Never ever. Get a lot of horses who will do a lot of things like him, but they' won't do it as good as him." No they wont.

25.01.2022 Hi everyone It's Nikki here. I am sorry that I don't think I have replied to many of your beautiful comments messages and text messages of support to Dad, Mum and I but please know that none of them have gone un-read. We have told dad that he has hundreds of people supporting him but he was too groggy on the Wednesday and yesterday he did a bit of physio so was in absolute agony so had I read all the comments and messages to him he would not be able to process it. I am bein...Continue reading

25.01.2022 Just for those who followed dad or were dear friends with dad or anything who could not make it to Dads funeral on Monday it will be live streamed with the link in the attached picture below, as no media will be welcome at the funeral.

23.01.2022 Hi guys, Firstly I hope you are all okay. Our thoughts and prayers and lots of love goes out to everyone in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia who are dealing with these horrific fires and to those of you with loved ones in those areas, we cannot imagine the stress and concern you are all feeling. Our hearts and soul goes out to you all. Now on a bit of a brighter note, as promised, here is a little teaser of the calendars. We are very excited for them to arrive ...and start getting the orders finished and on their way to you all. If you would like to confirm that you would like one or more calendars please be sure to right the number of calendars that you would like either on this post or the original calendar post a couple of posts up. Please, if you have already confirmed how many you would like either by message on the previous post, feel free to comment on this post just don't confirm again that you would like to order as then I will end up doubling up. But still feel free to comment here. Also, are people wanting a "Subbie signature" on the very front page again? (On the blank front page that protects the cover) Las year so many people wanted them that we ended up just doing them all. Also, if you would like dad (Graham) to yours, please let us know via message when we organise you order and postage and such. They are predicted to arrive here anytime between now and the 19th of November but as soon as they arrive I will let everyone know. Note: I have had quite a few people asking how to order. To order your calendar/s comment on either this post or the previous calendar post just a few posts up the page with how may you would like. Then, once they arrive I will go back through all the pre order comments and messages and reply to say they have arrived, then those who pre ordered via comment will need to message me through Subbie's Facebook page, and those who messaged their pre order in I will get everyone to send their postal address and preference of payment (We can do it via Direct debit or PayPal), if PayPal is your chosen payment option I will get you to send me your email address and then via PayPal on my end I will send you a PayPal invoice and once payment has been received I will post your calendar/s. If you would prefer to pay via Direct debit then I will just send you the account details and once payment is received your calendar/s will be in the post. Kindest regards to all, Nikki and Subbie See more

22.01.2022 Remembering Subbie on the day his race was run at Flemington Racecourse and Victoria Racing Club Oaks Day. (better link from 10 Sport). https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=401872711193574

22.01.2022 Just captures something from today.

22.01.2022 Happy 32nd Birthday to one of my darling guardian angels, Subbie. To say I miss you and dad endlessly is an absolute understatement. No doubt dad is up there with his arm around you, both sharing a beer and you getting as many carrots as your tummy could possibly hold. I wish I could be the one still filling you up with carrots while you rest your beautiful face over me and drool carrot slobber all over my white Subzero skivvy. My darling boy and darling dad you need to help... me through this year, I take one step forward and two steps back. I know I will get there, but I also know you would hate me suffering because you are both gone. And oddly enough as I am typing this I have 3 little birds singing and pecking at my window, I assume the 3rd one is you Rexy dog who passed away the 1st of May this year. Happy Birthday my hero, never out out of my mind, forever etched in my heart. I love you no less in death than what I loved and adored you in life. See more

21.01.2022 This was the brilliant photo used by Magic Millions and Racing Queensland in announcing the re-naming of $1m Magic Millions Trophy as The Subzero from 2021.

21.01.2022 THE NEW "SUBBIE PENS" HAVE ARRIVED!! They have come up really well if I can say so myself. They will be $16.00ea with free standard post. If you would like a tracking number and registered post it will be extra and I can get you a quote on that. All pens have black ink, and there are four colour options for the actual pens, Purple, Light Blue, Red and Black, all colours significant to Subbie. They also come in a velvet pouch each.... You can see the engraving in the attached photos. To order yours please send through a private message to Subbie's Facebook page with how many pens (please state you are wanting pens as with calendars coming available anytime in the next week and a half or so and other memorabilia slowly coming in i don't want to muck up your order) you would like, what colour/s, your selected payment type from PayPal or Direct Deposit and your postal address. Much more to come, so please keep your eyes on Subbie's Facebook page. Kindest Regards, Nikki See more

21.01.2022 Hi everyone It's Nikki here. I just wanted to let you that this afternoon dad had an accident unloading a round bale of hay. He has unloaded many bales of hay in his time but this time he just wasn't thinking straight and un-tied it before dropping the tail gate on the ute whilst standing behind it and it fell on him (only half of him luckily) thank god mum was there, I couldn't be as I am useless with my situations lol. A local ambulance went out (as it was at a friends pa...ddock where we have a few horses agisted) to him and then two MICA ambulances, but in the end they only needed the ambulance to take him into the hospital. We recently heard from the doctor looking after him in Resus in Emergency and found out he has severely fractured his Pelvis and has been wrapped in a pelvic splint for now until the Pelvic specialists and Bone specialists go and see him and his scans in the morning. The doctor said it is a serious break, but in time he will be okay. We would just like to ask that everyone respects our families (including dad's) wishes and do not call him (neither via the hospital or his mobile) as he is on very high doses of morphine and other very strong pain relief and he needs to be resting right now, plus he is not making overly much sense due to the pain relief. I will keep those following on Facebook updated and if anyone has any questions or wants to know about anything please don't hesitate to message me privately. What I also didn't add late last year, just before Christmas we found out that Dad had been diagnosed with cancer on his ribs again and they found a spot that they thought was on his femur but after doing further scans they found it had not quite reached the femur yet. So the Monday before Christmas day he had 5 hits of radiation in one including in the leg. Now he is going through IV Chemo, he had his first dose for this round of cancer about 2 weeks ago and he has to have about 15 doses at this stage (1 every 3 weeks). Just a couple of my many special photos we have. See more

20.01.2022 Hey everyone , We hope you are all keeping well and coping the best we all can in lockdown, although if all continues to go well that will start easing, Yay! Today's appreciation point goes to the extremely special team at the Victorian Equine Group in Bendigo who support Subbie no matter if it is just his general 3 monthly bloods and check up or *touch wood* anything more. Sarah and her team of vets, vet nurses, wonderful girls in the office or even the intern/students who ...do some, if not all of their training in at the Victorian Equine Group at Bendigo. Without this incredible team we can honestly say that our dear old boy would not have made it any where near as far he has so to say "thank you" is just not enough, no form of expression is, Mum, Dad, Subbie and I from the bottom of our hearts appreciate each and every one of you so incredibly much. You are an incredible vet also in the way that when dad argued with me about going to visit Subbie in my wheelchair at the clinic, he said I would get in the way and such, but it was at a time where we honestly didn't know if he would come home. So he called you and you were so welcoming as usual, but especially at such a hard time and me having just had ankle surgery so couldn't walk even 10 or so meters and stand there as the ankle had to be elevated. Not only did you say of course to me coming in, you even shifted shavings around when I got there so I could get in the stable to see him and fixed them up for Subbie when we left. You are incredibly empathetic as you know what Subbie means to us, but you are the same to so many. You even offered for Subbie to come and stay for a week or so recently with the arctic blast, so that Nathan (the farrier) could sort his feet out and give him a pedicure and stay out of the mud. Thank you again so much, we are so appreciative of what you do. Love to you all. Kindest regards, Nikki and Subbie See more

20.01.2022 To everyone wondering how dear Subbie is going, *touch wood* he is doing well all things considered. We do feel that like us, he too is missing dad, but we also feel he understands that before dad passed he was in immense amounts of pain so he is coping. Mum and I are keeping him spoilt rotten and he still rules the place, horses dogs and humans included. So as things are he is doing well *touch wood* but we will listen to him and of course Dr Sarah and whenever they say he i...s ready to join dad, he will be set free, hopefully that is not for a while yet though I say as I once again *touch wood*. For the many who couldn't come to dad's funeral, here is the photo tribute if you wish to watch. I know people don't usually share these things on social media, but dad being the public and incredibly well known man that he was, and so many of his friends, family and people who admired him who were unable to go to his funeral due to the restrictions on how many guests, at least they can see this little snippet into dad's life. 19.01.2022 Hi everyone We hope you are all well. Over the next few days we would like to share our appreciation with our very special supporters. Tonight I would like to send a huge thank you out to the incredible team at Poseidon Equine for your support. The team at Poseidon Equine supply Subbie with DigestiveEQ which keeps his tummy working as it should and digesting all his yummy Hygain feed the way it should.... As horses age everyone knows everything slows down including inside, their digestive system slows down and can put them at risk of various health battles, especially colic. We highly recommend both DigestiveEQ and DigestiveVM for horses of all ages, but from our experience when we almost lost Subbie last year, we especially recommend them for aging horses. At first when Linda from Poseidon Equine insisted we try DigestiveEQ when Subbie was so extremely ill last year I kept saying, he won't eat it, he is such a fussy eater. Linda sent me some to try and said how to wean him onto it. So we went ahead and tried it when he got home. As it was he was on and off his feed. Once we got him back on his feed we tried the supplement by weaning him onto it and he took to it well considering that he is THE FUSSIEST horse on the face of the earth, and he has been on it since. Please do not hesitate to contact the team at Poseidon Equine for more information and any questions. Thank you so much again to the Team at Poseidon Equine for all you do for us all, especially Subbie. See more

19.01.2022 Hey there, I hope you are all enjoying the holidays. I do need to apologise to those i have not gotten back to straight away, i haven't been spending overly much time on Facebook as if I am honest with you all, and myself, I'm not coping very well at all. I will be okay, I know I will, just the first Christmas without dad and Subbie and also our little Jack Russell dog who we lost back in May. So it is just all a reflection on what has been an absolutely horrid year for us an...d so many others. Anyway, a little good news to finish off. The pens are back in stock in the original colours of Black, Red, Blue and Purple as well as two new exciting colours for everyone which are a Light Pink and a Green colour! Which I will attach photos of for you all. They all have Black ink too, just the same as the others. They are of course the same price of $16.00ea with a free velvet pouch to keep them protected when not being used and they also have free post. PLEASE NOTE; To order please private message Subbie's Facebook page with what you would like to order (as you can see, there are multiple different items and colours available), how many you would like, which style/colour you would like, your payment type from Direct Deposit or PayPal (if paying via PayPal please include your email address), and your postal address. Thank you all so very much for your support. I hope you have a safe but wonderful Christmas and a safe but magical new year. Kindest Regards, Nikki See more

18.01.2022 Hey there, I would firstly like to thank everyone who has gotten back to me with feedback on their calendars, so far all has been extremely positive which means a lot to me. I just wanted to let you know that we still have quite a few calendars here if anyone it wanting any. There have been a few people who pre ordered but have not responded about purchasing since they have arrived which is disappointing. However we have had quite a lot of people who did not pre order ask i...f they could purchase some which has been wonderful and greatly appreciated. I cannot think of one person who would not love to find one of these calendars under the tree this year for Christmas. We are most certainly still taking orders. They are $35.00ea plus postage with $5.00 from each calendar sold going to charity. To order yours send through a private message via Subbie's Facebook page with how many calendars you would like to purchase and I can send you details and such. Pickup is welcome from Heathcote Victoria or possibly surrounding areas like Bendigo etc. Or of course postage is welcome at buyers expense. Kind regards, Nikki and Subbie See more

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, Just Nikki again. Just a few words to get off my chest a little Thank you to everyone for the love and compassion you have shown us in yet another shattering time, and to the beautiful person who kindly left a bouquet of wildflowers under the grey horse at the front gates of our appropriately named Grey's Park Lodge. I share the following with you all from my shattered heart, or those who choose to read it, as it is appropriate for the current time in how I fee...l and I think I can speak for mum in saying this too. We always knew Subbie would tell us when he was ready, and yesterday (Saturday 29th of August 2020) he did just that. His work here was done and there were greener pastures waiting for him with our dad. His heart was finally broken and he was ready to go. I can't help but to be sad, and the tears continuously flow, my heart is completely shattered, but my mind knows he is with our dad again now where he belongs, he stayed as long as he felt we needed him to help us through some of the pain and grieving from the loss of dad, but he knew he was further needed up in the clouds with his best mate. They are now together forever and forever at peace. It hurts like crazy but we always knew he would tell us, and tell us he did. Rest easy now my darling boys, for you will never again suffer any form of pain. You are where you are meant to be. Your legacy and your story will forever live on, being passed through the generations and honoured by all. You put smiles on the faces of all you two met, the sick, the elderly, school children and countless others. You helped raise millions for those in need. You travelled near and far including Dubai. You know each other inside out. There will never be anyone like either of you and there will never be a pair quite like the two of you. You both taught many so much, but not quite like what you both taught me. I can proudly say I am the person I am today for having the two of you in my life. You will both forever be in my heart and mind. A story that will live on forever. Now don't worry about us, we will continue your legacy and we will work to make you both proud. We love you both forever and always. Rest easy now and fly high for your work here is done, forever and always in the hearts of many. Until we meet again. P.s. Subbie's page will be kept live and we will over time share stories and photos, and we welcome fans and followers to please feel free to share memories of either your own or stories you have heard that you have liked as well as photos. You are all welcome to do so public on the page or send us a private message. As it is their legacy and memory with live on, but mum and I and I'm sure the many other viewers also love to hear various stories and memories. So please help us to keep this Facebook and his memory alive. See more

18.01.2022 Hey Everyone, Its Nikki here, We went and visited dad again today. He is still in a lot of pain but he has the nurses wrapped around his little finger so he is coping in there, apart from the food, but then that goes waayy back to when they had their old hospital, but he is managing and the nurses and food delivery ladies help him. Anyway, the visit after the last one that I put photos up, which would have been a day later, we noticed that from that bruise in the picture on...Continue reading

17.01.2022 Good morning everyone. From my family (Subbie, Bauer and the rest of the four legged crew included) to each and everyone of your families (both two and four legged) we wish you all a very happy and safe Easter. It's hard that not many people can really travel to be with their loves ones, but hopefully you can still have a happy Easter. Kind regards, Subbie and family.

16.01.2022 Hi everyone Its Nikki here, Bruce, and long time very good friend of dad's is kindly helping me with Subbie's Facebook for now, until the fog around our family starts to lift a bit. I just wanted to pop my head in and say a few words of behalf of mum and I. Firstly, to those who have commented on the absolutely incredible post that Bruce made in honour of dad, and to those who have made posts of their own, please don't stop and if you have any memory of or with dad that ha...s stuck with you and you remember closely or even any photos that touched you or that you took or had taken with dad, please, we ask you to share you favourite memory or memories and photos of or with dad we ask you to continue to share them as they mean a lot to us. Secondly, I sincerely apologize that most comments and posts I may not be able to reply to because I am truly overwhelmed and Facebook is truly flooded, I simply cannot keep up. But over the weeks to come I will read them all and am grateful for each and everyone of them. Once again we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all this support. We are so grateful and this horrific journey is made that little bit easier with so much love and support around us. Also, no one needs to be concerned about Subbie, he is doing well (*touch wood *) he is having a check up today just to confirm he is totally fine. He will miss dad, of course, but we are just spoiling him now with as many carrots as he likes and his wonderful Hygain feed with his DigestiveEQ to make sure if in any way he does get upset, his tummy won't be badly effected. From Nikki, Anita and Subbie, We thank each and everyone of you endlessly. See more

16.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE; To order please private message Subbie's Facebook page with what you would like to order (as you can see, there are multiple different items available), how many you would like, which style/colour you would like, your payment type from Direct Deposit or PayPal (if paying via PayPal please include your email address), and your postal address. Ready to arrive anyday now I have: Bookmarks in 5 different photo and colour designs that will be on offer with or witho...ut a Tassel, they are only $10.00ea without a Tassel or $12.50ea with a Tassel and Free Postage. They will be $25.00ea plus post and $5.00 from each desk calendar sold will go to a chosen charity. A Limited Edition Subbie Christmas Mug which is as mentioned above. They will be $25.00ea plus post as well and the postage prices will likely be the same as the above mugs. Then we will have many more goodies to come. Dont forget to send in any ideas you may have and remember no idea is too big or too small and absolutely NO idea is "stupid" at all, so please do not hesitate to share with us the items you wish to see on the list of Subbie's Memorabilia items. We hope that you are all safe, happy and well and that your Christmas plans and life in general is treating you all well wherever you may be located, near or far. Kindest Regards and lots of best wishes to you all, Nikki xx

16.01.2022 The lady who messaged through a heap of pictures she had taken of Subbie at the NJT Cricket Match at Williamstown quite a while ago, I cannot find your message with the photos so I was wondering if you could please private message the page again so they come back up? Kindest regards, Nikki

16.01.2022 Hi everyone, It's Nikki here Exactly 10 weeks apart, both passing at 2:38pm on a Saturday, with Subbie passing Saturday the 29th of August 2020 (the same day 2 calendar months after dad's funeral and cremation) our beloved Subzero was released to be with dad again and forever. They are now reunited in the clouds doing what they love with one another. Together forever. Forever at peace. Their work here is done. I would like to thank everyone for their messages, texts, calls, p...osts, comments, etc. I have replied to a couple but the truth is I am not coping with the loss of dad and now to be hit with this to say I am a heart shattered mess would be an understatement. I will reply to my messages once I can do so without breaking down every time. As we told everyone for years, Subbie would tell us when he is ready to go, today he did just that. In true Subbie style he went on his terms when he was ready. He was not alone, I was right by his head, Sarah and Mike were with him/us as his/our vets and his/our friends, mum was there and so was one of our dear neighbors who was incredible support. 11.01.2022 For the many who couldn't come to dad's funeral, here is the photo tribute if you wish to watch. 11.01.2022 Hi guys, I need to apologise profusely to everyone who has messaged and are getting late replies and such. This is not intentional, I am personally still battling constant health battles as well as chronic, constant headaches with the occasional migraines so I can't spend a long period of time on the computer or my phone (basically screens in general). I will reply to you all a little later in the morning (It is currently 2:30am and I have pain keeping me awake). I will be ...catching up on all orders and and contacting those with their calendar/s that we have posted with your tracking number. But rest assured you will get your calendar/s as soon as possible, they will be posted the following business day after paid for. To those who have received theirs I hope you love them and I hope you like the new "different" design for 2020. Please note; we are still taking orders, there is no "cut off" time for people to order, so if you have not already purchased a Calander, you are most welcome to at any stage. Remember $5.00 from each calendar sold is going to charity. Kindest regards and again, my sincere apologies. Nikki See more

11.01.2022 Hi everyone Its Nikki here. Just a couple of quick words. Firstly To the beautiful person who so incredibly left a bunch of flowers and bag of carrots at our gate either last night or this morning but did not leave a name, please know we are both so very appreciative and grateful of your kindness. We wish you left your name so we could thank you personally, but just know we are so grateful, as is Subbie. And secondly, Subbie had a check up Monday by Dr Sarah from the ...Bendigo Equine Clinic which we are incredibly grateful for. Both his physical examination and blood work was good and Sarah mentioned that she was very happy with how he is doing. After finishing the interviews with Subbie and I (including Subbie sending the microphone flying, as far as Subbie was concerned he was saying "and that's a wrap") once we let him go after the interviews he took off cantering and trotting around his paddock literally kicking up his heels. When dad was in hospital, Subbie would not eat up his feed. Ever since his Saturday night dinner he has licked his feeder clean. Once again our family thanks you all near and far for your kind words and endless support as well as for sharing so many memories from you all, it brings us some peace and is so meaningful to us all. Kindest Regards, Nikki, Anita, Subbie and family. See more

11.01.2022 Hey everyone, I hope you are all safe and well. Our thoughts go out to those in and around fire areas and hope you all get out safely. I wanted to quickly share that the wall calendars have arrived and yes they are significantly smaller than our 2019 and 2020 calendars but they are still beautiful and are much better quality than the previous years. Today we will get pricing on postage for you all and then we can start completing calendar orders. The mugs should be here ab...solutely any day and I share with you all that I have created a very special and meaningful Christmas Mug which will be here within the next week, two at the most. I have also designed and ordered a lovely desk calendar which includes beautiful photos of dad and Subbie, pricing on them I do not have yet but they won't be over priced. Bookmarks will be here anyday as well. So lots going on here for you all, we also have much more to come. Also, please do not forget, if any of you have an idea of an item or items that you would like me to try and organise for the Subbie memorabilia items, please do not hesitate to message Subbie's Facebook page with your ideas and I will most certainly see if I can get it/them done, I am always open to ideas from you all so would really love to hear what is on your mind. And please remember no ideas are too big or too small and absolutely NOTHING is "stupid" so do not hesitate at all, I would truly love to hear from you all about things that YOU would like to see available. You are all as much apart of this journey as I am. I hope to hear from some of you soon with any ideas. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for supporting me on this journey and those of you who so kindly take the time to send back feedback and send me such kind work, your kind words of ongoing support mean more to me than I can express in words. So from the bottom of my heart I thank each and everyone of you for coming on this crazy journey with me. Kindest Regards, Nikki See more

09.01.2022 I apologise for missing Christmas and being late for new year, but better late than never I suppose. From our family to yours, we wish each of you a safe and happy New Year and we hope this new year and new decade will bring you all nothing but love, joy, happiness and good health. Our hearts and prayers go out to each and every person and families who have been affected in any way by these horrendous bush fires, or if you know anyone who has. These fires particularly in SA..., VIC, NSW and QLD are truly scary and have taken countless lives of not only people but animals, livestock, pets, wildlife, everything and for the owners of these animals and the friends and families of those who have lost their lives, out heart goes out to you. Most importantly, I believe I can speak on behalf of everyone on this page in saying a massive thank you to each and every fire fighter both paid and volunteer for your selfless acts of going out, leaving your own home risking the possibility of losing it to go out and save other people's lives and work your backside off to save other people's houses and property and any animals that you can. True hero's don't wear capes, ours wear hard hats and heavy, hot yellow uniforms. Happy New Year everyone and thank you so much to you all for following us along the journey of 2019. Also a massive thank you to all who showed incredible support to my family, Subbie and myself during a truly terrifying time facing the big possibility of losing him, but thankfully with the hard, round the clock care of the Bendigo Equine Clinic, and everyone's well wishes and even the many incredible cards, drawings and letters from across the world, he thankfully pulled through and *touch wood* he is doing really well now. Also a big thank you to everyone who has kindly supported me by purchasing a 2020 Subzero Calendar featuring Bauer in which $5.00 from each calendar will go to charity which can continue to be purchased at anytime throughout the year. I will share the total raised from the 2019 tomorrow with the chosen charity. Kindest regards, Subbie and the Salisbury family. See more

09.01.2022 Hi guys, I hope everyone's lead up to Christmas is going fantastic and that you are all doing well. Much to my disappointment my ill health has yet again landed me in hospital for a minimum of 2 weeks. However, calendar orders will most certainly continue and luckily before being admitted we had signed a heap of calendars. I am very lucky to have mum and dad at home to send out any orders. So keep your orders coming, remember the more we sell, the more money we are raisin...g for charity. Just a reminder; calendars are $35.00ea (AUD) plus postage or pickup welcome from Heathcote Victoria, or Horseland Bendigo. We do offer shipping worldwide at buyers expense, just message through the country and how many calendars you were after and I will arrange to get a quote for you. To order simply send us a message with how many you would like to purchase and I will send you all the required information. I apologise to those who have messaged and I have been unable to reply to, I will go through and get back to you all and if you have messaged but not received a reply within 24-48 hours just send another message or simply "bump" it up so I can see it. Again, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but I can assure you that the calendar orders will most certainly go ahead, there is no "cut off" date to order, they will be available to purchase throughout 2020 as well. If you are ordering for a Christmas present, put your order in as soon as you possibly can so we can ensure that Australia Post will get them there in time. Thank you in advance for your understanding. Please don't let this post scare you away from ordering as honestly it will keep giving me a purpose while I am stuck in here. Stay safe and have a wonderful lease up to Christmas. Kindest regards, Nikki See more

08.01.2022 JOCKEYS SUPPORT GRAHAM SALISBURY by Bruce Clark In a wonderful show of solidarity for Graham, the Australian Jockey's Association has led the way confirming a sizeable five figure donation to support the Salisbury family and Subzero.... And he was once one of them, little known, that Graham had a short unsuccessful career as a jumps jockey (he may have argued otherwise), winning three of 15 rides, before weight turned him to training and clerking. Graham's father Jack was a jumps jockey before him. But it was helping jockeys that became Graham's forte as a clerk of the course and it is for that reason the Australian Jockey's Association had decided - before Graham's passing last Saturday - to support him and the family. "We had a director's meeting on the Thursday night aware of Graham's situation at the time to make a donation to the family," Australian Jockey's Association CEO Martin Talty said. "We couldn't believe the news of his passing but we are all committed to helping Graham's family and of course in turn Subbie". The significant five figure donation will assist the Salisbury family in funeral costs for Graham - which will take place on Monday at the Bendigo racecourse under restrictive Covid conditions, but a large public memorial is planned for Graham as they open up. And Subbie is cleared to attend both. "The impact Graham had on jockeys can never be under-estimated," Talty said, "Not only did he give so many a start but his assistance throughout their careers was always without question." "We just felt it was time for the jockeys to give him and his family back something for what he gave us and we hope other industry stakeholders feel the same way and support the Salisbury family in this time of need." "What he did for the industry and what he received in return were poles apart." Jockeys around Australia on Saturday have been asked to wear black armbands in the first race of the day in support of Graham. The Melbourne Racing Club is also planning a special tribute to Graham as part of Saturday's race card and will involve participating jockeys. The Victorian Jockeys Association spokesman Matt Hyland remembered Graham as a "calming influence" to jockeys. "Everyone knew him, he knew them, no-one had a bad word to say about Graham and he was always there for all of the jockeys," he said. "He treated us all the same, their were no heirs or graces, he would stop and chat with anyone but know when there was trouble brewing and always be there for a jockey in need." "He was just a popular bloke, one of us, always up for chat and always there for you."

08.01.2022 VALE GRAHAM SALISBURY by Bruce Clark On behalf of the Salisbury family and his great mate -the racing icon Subzero - it is with much sadness that we share news of the passing of Graham Salisbury late today....Continue reading

08.01.2022 From the bottom of my heart I cannot thank those behind this page for going above and beyond to help us in a time of need whilst we deal with the grief and heartache that 2020 has thrown us.

07.01.2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOfDfj9lDUM Graham on Subbie: "He's like a son to me.....I said I was going to make him a people's horse and that's what I've done....it still get's me...there will never be another Subbie." There will never be another Graham.

05.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the Cup Carnival from the comfort of your home or celebrating with friends. I apologise I have not been on to update Subbie's page more, we have just been working on a few things at once. I want to let you all know that I am working on a 2021 calendar which will be in memory of my dad and Subbie. I am hoping to have it off to the printer early next week but will keep you all updated on that. I have been working on some... other Subbie merchandise as well like pens, stress balls in the shape of a horse, T Shirts with a couple of photos of Subbie on them and his name and such, some tote bags with similar to the Tee Shirts on them, some mugs with a photo or two and his name and such, a candle with his photo on the jars and his name and such, and a few other things. These will all be done slowly and as funds come in, and like usual a percentage of each item sold will go to charity. Speaking of this I do have a hand full of pens for sale cheap because the engraving is too small for my liking. They are still lovely pens and have the following written on them: Subzero 26/09/1988 - 29/08/2020 1992 Melbourne Cup Winner They come with a velvet pouch and have black ink. I literally only have about 9 pens at this stage and as I mentioned am selling these ones at a cheaper price. The next ones I have done will have a slightly higher price tag but both types are affordable. These pens are $12.00 with free postage. To order just send through a message to the Subzero Facebook page with your postal address, what you would like to order and how you would like to pay (either PayPal or Direct Debit). Kindest regards, Nikki See more

03.01.2022 Hi everyone I hope you are all doing well and that everyone is safe from the horrid fires and flooding. 02.01.2022 So, let's just say, the sample calendar came today and to say I am disappointed would be an understatement. The paper was nice and thick so didn't fold in or anything, the photos came up beautiful, but the size which is their largest (when open it is 1x horizontal A4 then the spiral and another horizontal A4) and the total cost with postage is basically the same as what the big 2019 and 2020 calendars cost so to cover cost and charity i would still have to charge the $35.00ea... plus postage. I am looking around everywhere and going to try a different place and do another sample and see how they come up, as there are only a couple of places that offer decent/large sized calendars now. Be honest, what do you all think we should do? Get two pieces of A4 paper and lay them down horizontally one above the other with a very small gap in the middle and see if you would be happy paying $35.00 plus post for a calendar of that size with $5.00 going to charity. Keep in mind it is a thick glossy card material. Please be honest and not afraid to hurt my feelings as honestly you won't, you will be helping me sooo much. I think I will still work on getting a bigger size to have available, just depending on what you all think and would prefer as you are all in this with me. Also, whilst I am posting about Subbie memorabilia, I wanted to share with you all that a couple of days ago I designed some Bookmarks, I know, they are something simple but they are always a nice gift to go with a book or a "stocking stuffer". There are 5 different coloured backgrounds, 3 photos on each bookmark and different pictures with each of the 5 different styles. I will post photos when they arrive, anyday now, I just need to work out a price on them, so if you have any advice there too, please share. Kindest Regards, Nikki See more

02.01.2022 Hi guys, I am pleased to share with you all that the calendars have arrived (as you can tell by the below photo that the boxes of calendars have taken of our lounge room, oops ) and I am very happy with them and I hope you all love them too. If I have not either messaged you to tell you they have arrived, or commented on one of your comments on any of the posts to say that they have arrived, then please send through a private message to Subbie's Facebook page with how ma...ny you had ordered. Sadly Facebook is not being my friend right now and is not showing up all of the comments that have been made. If you did not pre order that is totally fine, there are certainly enough to go around. If you would like to order send a private message through to Subbie's Facebook page with how many you wish to purchase. At the moment there has been a mix up with the postage which we only found out today. The Calendars that were posted today were a very different price to what they quoted us on Friday (same post office). So those of you who have paid already please know that when we go in on Monday we will be getting a final accurate postage cost, if they change and are cheaper than what I was quoted and passed on to the couple of people that I had messaged with prices including postage then I will most certainly refund you the difference. Kindest regards, Nikki and Subbie See more

01.01.2022 Hi everyone I am sorry I have not left an update for a little while, I have been living with health battles of my own. Dad is home from hospital now, has been home for about 2 or 3 weeks. He does get a lot of pain at times but be is doing better than expected. He has restarted his Chemotherapy that was put on hold when the accident originally occurred and that is a new type, it is once every 3 weeks. The Chemo makes him feel quite lousy for the first week or two after each ...treatment which isn't at all nice for him but he seems to get through it. He is sick of being stuck inside as he is such an outdoors man but given our property is so very rocky and undulating we just can't risk it as there are two breaks in the back of the pelvis, the one on the lower bone of the back of the pelvis isn't too bad it is to my understanding a simple break, the one on the upper bone of the pelvis is the trouble maker as it is completely and utterly smashed making it weak and fairly unstable, especially if he were to even so much as trip. He will beat this hurdle though. Subbie *touch wood* is doing absolutely incredible, way better than all three of us (mum, dad and myself). Luckily he did not fret for dad or even seem to miss him dare I say. His weight is still down after being ill, but being older he may never fully put all the weight back on, but his blood tests came back great. Dad would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for your extremely kind words and support to help him get through this. Here is a photo of dad this morning, and a couple of photos I took of Subbie the other day when dad was inside. The first one of Subbie was him giving me a kiss but I will share it with you all, and the second is just him smiling for the camera (phone, in which he and Bauer are on the front and back cover of ). We hope you are all well and keeping safe from this horrific virus. Kindest regards, Subbie and family. See more

HOW TO ORDER; A reminder to those who haven't seen the posts but are still interested, the calendars are $35.00ea plus postage and $5.00 goes to charity. To order simply me...ssage Subbie's Facebook page or comment on the original copy of this post on Subbies Facebook page with how many you would like to order and then I will message you payment total and the payment options (Direct debit or PayPal) and get your postal address or if you would like to pick up yours from around Heathcote Victoria and once payment is made you will receive your calendar/s. They make perfect Christmas presents. PLEASE NOTE; I would also like to say, I have had quite a lot of people asking if it is too late to order. I wanted to put it out there to everyone that there is no "cut off date" to order. Anyone can order as many as they wish at absolutely any time at all. A bit later on once this order sells out if there is interest for more I will be doing another order, so just remember anyone can order at any time. The Calendars have come up great in my opinion so I hope you will all like it. I have changed the design a bit so I hope you all still like it. I will be contacting you all in the order that they were ordered (if that makes some form of sense) which I have on my list later tomorrow(Friday, technically it's today as it's past midnight), once I have accurate postage prices for you guys. Kind regards, Nikki and Subbie See more

01.01.2022 Hi guys, A dear friend has taken the time to create this petition to try and show the VRC, Racing Victoria and all others involved how much not only our family, but those who followed and love Subzero (Subbie) and Graham Salisbury (my dad) want, and think It is only fair and appropriate that there be a statue of the pair put up at Flemington after all the tireless work he did for the Melbourne Cup Carnival continuously every year for over 46 years, and if you count the years ...he continued on after having to retire as a Clerk of the Course, where he continued on with Subbie taking him to the Melbourne Cup Parade every year until a few years back where his arthritis could not stand the long walk on the bitumen, and the years he continued on traveling to different parts of Victoria for the Melbourne Cup Tour until last year's tour and he was planning to do this year's had Subbie's health been well enough but sadly dad passed away before it and Subbie followed on 10 weeks after dad. So if you count these years as well as his clerking years, he put 50+ years of work into the VRC and Racing Victoria. This is not counting the 25 odd years of community work Dad and Subbie did and fundraising that they did, together they helped raise multiple millions of dollars for various charities in need. Keep in mind that dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer that had left the prostate leaving it inoperable and having to go through iintense Radiation back in 2006 and very soon after he finished Radiation he was back working as a Clerk of the Course. I could continue on with what Dad has done, but this will do for now. Thank you so kindly Shey for putting this together off her own back. See more

01.01.2022 Hey everyone I hope you are all doing well in this awful heat. I am terribly sorry for the calendars being so late this year, first life got on top of me and then our internet crashed (with our phone line ) for over 2 weeks and I couldn't do anything. (Thanks Telstra/NBN ) I finally got got them done but the company i use have changed all the layout and all so that was fun... not . But there are a few queries with a few of the special photos and such so I ha...ve ordered a sample copy to arrive early next week, if that is all clear I will run off the rest for you all. They are a little different this year from what I can tell so far, but in a good way in my opinion. They are very special this year as they are in memory of dad and Subbie. I won't know a price until they arrive, I am doing everything I can to keep them at the $35.00 plus post, I am just unsure what post will be this year as Aus post change their costs every year. Australia wide, if Aus post is kind to us they will get around Australia in time for Christmas as long as you order in time, I will try and get an idea from our post office as to when the cut off for postage arriving in time for Christmas will be and share that with you all. It will be the same for pens and Stubby Holders aka "Subbie Holders" (thanks to one of Subbie's lovely fans who came up with that name), yep you heard correct, I have put in orders for 4 different photo styles of Stubby Holders and much more memorabilia to come. Kindest Regards, Nikki See more
