23.01.2022 The greatest undoing of the entrepreneur is this... They believe they will arrive. And so they keep pushing though. ... Because when they arrive they’ll get to rest. They’ll have the freedom to stop and enjoy. They’ll feel fulfilled. But it doesn’t work like this. There is no end point. We change along the way. The horizon will always shift. 23.01.2022 I’ve been observing a curious pattern lately. An imbalance. People seem to be able to give more easily than they can receive... They can give feedback. Yet not receive it. They can give advice or opinion. Yet not receive it. They can give curiosity by asking questions. Yet not receive answers. They can give gifts. Yet not receive them. They can give love. Yet not receive it. They can give help. Yet not receive it. Being able to receive any of these things is a reflection of a persons inner world. Their self-esteem, self-worth, self-trust and mindset. Being open to receiving is the path to growth. Being closed to receiving means awkward conversations, tension, unsaid things, hurt, loneliness, stuckness, missed goals and unfulfilled potential. Have you noticed this? How have you seen this play out out in business?

16.01.2022 None of us are what you can see. We are all dealing with and experiencing our own limitations, thoughts, worries, joys, excitements, wonders on the inside. We may, or may not share some or all of them for others to see. ... Regardless, they’re there. If we bring curiosity, care, compassion and understanding to moments with others, we will then create a richer, more connected and real experience of life for them, and for us. Isn’t that something to strive for? I believe it is.

Frustration? Maybe you just wanted to tell me to $&@! ‘Should’ It’s a word to watch out for. It represents a place in time we believe we should be but aren’t. And guess who most often has created that place in time and drives the comparison game?

13.01.2022 I want to... Vs. I will...... Ever noticed that intention is so often missing when people say ‘I want’? If you were to say ‘yes, but will you?’ The response would shift right? I’d go so far to say that the results would shift too. Who do you notice you’re surrounded with more of... ‘I want people’ or ‘I will people?’ I suppose the real question is, why do people say ‘I want to...’ and just leave it at that?

The system or steps are an essential factor in any success. But, it’s a persons mindset and how they approach or think about something that is the difference that makes the difference. ... It’s why so many people buy courses or programs and never get the result they want. They never achieve their goal. Mindset is the key. Yet so many avoid it as fluffy or optional. Which for some many is bloody terrifying. How do I get others to do what I need them to do? How do I communicate best with my team? How do I give feedback without feeling icky? How do I manage people who are older than me? These are some of the questions I get asked often. Have you noticed any particular challenges faced by others when having to step into a management or leadership position? #business
08.01.2022 Today marked the third time I had to ask for the invoice. I’d agreed to purchase a service from a business. And then nothing happened. ... So I asked again for the invoice. Again nothing. I asked again. I woke this morning to an invoice in my inbox. But I can’t pay it. Because there are no payment details. So I’ve had to ask again for payment details. This business is lucky I want what I’m buying enough to put up with this poor execution of a basic process. Invoicing. It should never be this hard for a customer to pay a #business. It’s a guaranteed way to leave money on the table and turn customers off. I’ve noticed this is a representation of a trend - shiny object syndrome. It’s a glorious way of getting distracted from what matters most... executing core business processes well. Have you noticed poor execution of fundamental processes popping up in business transactions lately?

05.01.2022 There's one thing about problems that most people don't realise. For a problem to be a problem it requires a thought. Before then, the problem is just a series of facts or data points that 'just are'. Thoughts come from our heads. From within us. ... We create them. Therefore, we create our own problems. The beauty of this is, that we can create new thoughts to solve our problems. The key is, will we? I've noticed that so many people choose to loop in the same thought patterns that created the problem in the first place. Why do you think that is?
