24.01.2022 This was a discussion on LinkedIn about how our new found appreciation for Australian manufacturing and the Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, announcing a plan to boost manufacturing. Original article here and above https://www.theage.com.au//we-make-things-in-australia-pm- My contribution. There is a lot of ideological thinking that makes no sense. Getting rid of a world class industry, like automotive, creating 200,000 jobs overall in Australia, integrating us in part into...Continue reading

11.01.2022 David Armstrong of Australia Wide Personnel interviewed me for their Engineering Career Journey podcast series. We discussed how I got into engineering, how my career progressed, what I had learned and where I saw future opportunities in engineering. 08.01.2022 Australia to make Lithium Ion batteries. Finally some value add instead of shipping the ore off to China. https://www.manmonthly.com.au//28m-lithium-ion-battery-fa/

05.01.2022 It has been a big day in energy news. This is why HVDC (High Voltage DC) interconnects are the way forward for grid interconnects (spoiler we knew 20 years ago): https://reneweconomy.com.au/wind-and-solar-supply-more-tha/ https://reneweconomy.com.au/ac-versus-dc-why-australia-sho/ ... Wind and Solar supply more than half the national grid for the first time: https://reneweconomy.com.au/wind-and-solar-supply-more-tha/ Half of that was from rooftop solar. Go citizen power. And this is in spite of solar and wind farms having to turn off as electricity pricing went negative as there was more power than we needed as we were still running coal. That never gets negative pricing applied to it. I'd like to see those positions swapped though we have to work on storage before that can happen. It even happened in NSW: https://reneweconomy.com.au/graph-of-the-day-nsw-renewable/ And we are now back in the solar cell business for rooftop solar. The aim is higher efficiency to reduce the number of panels, while making panels that will actually last their expected 25 year life: https://reneweconomy.com.au/sundrive-gets-funding-to-manuf/

01.01.2022 Did you know that me make things in Australia and do it very well? Our Prime Minister does and that is good news for Australian manufacturing https://www.theage.com.au//we-make-things-in-australia-pm-
