18.01.2022 Congratulations to the owners Kylie and Mark of @fitstop_northcote. We have been very quiet behind the scenes at Succor Socks but working closely with 4 Fitstop gyms to build mental health awareness in a positive fun way with Funky Sock Friday. Our goal over 6 weeks was to raise awareness and communication of mental illness and wellness by using bright Funky socks to engage in a conversation. Each week we would set a theme and get fitstop members to post up photos and storie...s to help build a Funky Sock Friday community across 4 Fitstop gyms. I personally believe that if people can get involved in group and community activities like group exercise it gives a sense of belonging, feeling a part of something bigger, opens up communication with people, creates new friends and also allows you to feel amazing about yourself. This is a place we can start, check in with the people you see daily, if you notice them missing, check in with them. A massive thank you to @fitstop_redcliffe @fitstop_northcote @fitstop__nundah @fitstop_maroochydore for working with us. We love the work you are doing creating amazing communities and great results. As the winners of our challenge @fitstop_northcote now will get to design the first official Funky Sock Friday Sock. 07.01.2022 How can we make HUGE positive change to men's mental health in Australia??? We believe the statistics around men's mental health in Australia are, quite franlky..., UN-Australian. MATESHIP is a key ingredient to turning those stat's around. Think of the most Aussie way guys hang out with their mates...surely a vision of blokes standing around a BBQ comes to mind! Just as UN-Australian is the fact that Australia has NO world records, that's right NONE, NADDA, ZIP to do with BBQ's (and there's quite a few records but none are owned by us). Even more UN-Australian is the fact that Mexico holds the record for the world's biggest bbq with 55 252 people. So, let's do a BLOODY BIG BBQ!!!!
