22.01.2022 Here in the hot house Ling in a Tshirt on a freezing wet day outside Ling and i are working on the beheading of Frank Reinelt and re potting the new imports. Ling was our photographer and commentator for the below video.

21.01.2022 (Photo below just used as an example) How much a plant worth? What makes a plant special and why some of them are so expensive? Well first it's what the grower paid for the plant initially or how much he wants for it. How fast does it grow slower the dearer it gets then there is the desirability rating I must have this plant. A plant is worth what you are willing / prepared to pay for it. Then for us in AU we have to run the gauntlet and expense of importing packing, shippin...g and praying it survives the quarantine. If it does, how long does it take to propagate some new ones to have enough to sell? This plant cost Syuichi over $500 Au in one year he got 12 plants I got 3, maybe they will make it back home to grow some new ones what do you think it is worth ? Well what someone is prepared to pay for it. How much did it cost me? Should I gamble and hope someone in AU likes it enough to pay enough to cover some of the expenses of bringing it back to AU? It really depends on wow factor and what I and others think. I think this has some wow factor I just saw the mother plant then later found 12 small new ones amongst many other plants , you need good spotting ability doing this job, finding that special plant among so many houses and thousands of plant. I think this was my lucky day. What do you think? please leave your comment below We are talking about prices in general. See more

21.01.2022 Hi everyone , we have updated our web site with a few more amazing plants. check our website to find out more https://www.succulents-australia-sales.com/ Have a great weekend !!! :)

21.01.2022 The difficulties of supply versus demad. This last winter Our nursery was not alone in running low on plants. Never before have we nearly run out over winter. Most nurseries at the moment can sell anything as long as its got some green leaves. To remedy this we have started propagating a bit earlier. and we have installed some heaters to ward of the Winter chills and bring our new plants on a bit earlier. we have gained about two months for a lot of our stock. This week we will be adding some of the special plants that would normaly not be available till December. Thank god for heaters.

21.01.2022 Eye Candy weekend. Its been ages. since doing some work on the variegates. this Autumn and Winter season has just been so busy keeping up with the basics of gr...owing and selling. I noticed there was not a lot of variety on the Eye Candy part of the shop so tying to fix this situation this weekend. check out some of the colours showing up now. will be on tomorrow. See more

21.01.2022 Watching the new Adros just start to grow some think a species should all look the same. Well this opens a can of worms for many South African plants where there needs to be be some more discussion. Adromischus marianiae has so many impossibly different forms that most of the Adros now collected should have locality names so the have a heritage or reference point. most people would say Adro cooperi should look like what they know. look at these three new beauties. Black monster. a new dark red one. and a blue form red spots. Also a mini form of indian clubs. a much better selection than the rathe karge and spreading form we know in australia. A cooperi is now so much more interesting and all are easy to grow. Learn more about growing these lovey SA https://www.succulents-australia-sales.com//adromischus-gr

21.01.2022 Very rare very different and unusual Adromischus marianiae herrei variegate. looking great at the moment I only have these two plants. So its time to take some ...leaf cuttings so they can be available for the public. with the leaves that become available without destroying the original mother plants which are now 3 years old you can see that it is a slow process for new plants to become available to the succulent loving public. this is a genuine enthusiasts plant. 18.01.2022 Well at long last got our plants out of Quarantine. after a long haggle about three varieties of plants that are possible Xyella hosts even though they came fro...m a Xyella free country. yep the rules change under your feet as your doing this. Haworthia and Euphorbia were allowed in previous shipments. Alas not this time. But some great new stuff coming your way soon. Monday unpacking repotting and taking cuttings. then we can release them to you all. These plants were imported in November last year, and just released now. Its a really long term plan. With the coronavirus the next shipment will be doubly hard to organize and we will have to lean on our grower friends in Asia to really help us out next time. Also a big thanks to Clive and Di Larkmen. for accommodating and allowing us to rent this valuable quarantine house. See more

08.01.2022 The allure of Crests. these are great examples of Bonsai Echeveria. the big red one below is Echeveria fimbriata Crest. about 6 yo and grown hard. its won me prizes at shows and is one of the most asked for plants in our shop. Crests are slow growing and can only really be vegetativly grown from cuttings. so are not necessarily rare but scarce to produce, and not readily available. Some collectors really chase for these plants as they are much harder to find. I particularly li...ke them so we try to have some available at times. growing a lot of plants here the keener plantsperson sometimes find just one or two among the other plants so we have many unique ones not seen before. Crest are really called fasciation its a aberant deformity or cell mutation that can happen on most plants from time to time. But we crazy growers are always looking for something new and different. Happy plant hunting. https://www.succulents-australia-sales.com/

04.01.2022 To our loyal customers: Due to Coronavirus outbreak and unprecedented demand created by a million of new home gardeners, the Nursery Industry is running very short of plants and we are not exempt. We start growing the majority of our plants 12 to 18 months ago and unfortunately we could not predict this unprecedented demand that we have experienced in the last 4 months. We also want to let you know we are working hard and overtime to minimize this situation and we really be...lieve that we can be back up to date shortly. Unfortunately succulents are slow growing plants in winter but we have made some improvements in our farms which includes installing heaters to keep the plants warmer and help them to grow happier and per consequence faster. We are adding more stock to our website every week, please keep yourself updated by adding your desired plant on our website wish list on the link below and you will be notified as soon as your plant become available https://www.succulents-australia-sales.com/ We also would like to say THANK YOU for being so supportive during this difficult time.
