25.01.2022 I knew I had been on the phone a lot today and just out of interest I checked my I have made 23 calls and sent 34 messages since 8.30am to get off market and prelistings for an interstate client with a tight finance deadline who signed us up less than 24 hours ago. Just proves that if you love what you do it actually isn't work it's gratitude for being able to help people on their property journeys, even if I feel like this at the end of the day... Now what's for dinner

18.01.2022 Sometimes we all procrastinate! For month's I have been looking at Japanese Knives. I am no professional chef but I do like cooking when I get time After searching online for just the right set of knives I gave up as I kept procrastinating over this set or that set... Today I had to pop to the shops to buy some veggies and there in front of my eyes was a beautiful set of Japanese inspired chefs knives. The procrastinating was over! The shop assistant was very helpful and obviously knew her knives.. actually that sounds a bit scary Anyway, I told her about my ever searching habit and being unable to decide. She took me through the things I need from my knives to blend with my cooking style. OMG she really was amazing and needless to say I FINALLY BOUGHT MY KNIVES & ON SALE TOO...BONUS!! As I was walking out of the shop imagining myself cutting, slicing and dicing...probably my fingers included, I realised that this KNIFE EXPERT was taking a brief from me just as I do when helping clients to BUY PROPERTY As a Property Buyers Agent one of the biggest issues we hear and see in people is PROCRASTINATION!! 17.01.2022 Been a bit slack on Social Media since last week. 12.01.2022 Is this how you feel about buying a property? I was chatting away to my hairdresser this lunchtime and she was giving me every excuse possible about why she can't buy a property! I didn't want to say too much whilst she had scissors in her hands!... However, once she had finished and put her scissors down and I paid I suggested we have a quick chat about her reasoning as to why she was so convinced buying a property would be so much harder than renting. I won't go through the whole conversation but what I will say is that I gave her the name of one of our B2B Mortgage Broker's near where she lives and she rang and booked an appointment while I was still in the salon! All she needed was a little support and encouragement! As a Buyers Agent I am not all about the the end result of buying property, it about listening, mentoring and sharing the knowledge of over 40 years experience in the real estate industry. She was so excited I have got a free haircut next month! And a super charged young women feeling confident to go forward in the buying her first property and that makes my day complete!

10.01.2022 ROAD AHEAD! I had a call last night from a prospective interstate client wanting to know "How hard is it to buy a property in Brisbane and on the Sunshibe Coast?" It was intetesting as he had "heard and been told" from his friend's and family, that it was impossible to buy a property under $500,000 anywhere in Brisbane & on the Sunshine Coast.... Once I had explained how we offer a full service to source, appraise and negotiate on his behalf for property within his price range, I could hear his voice change from pessimistic to positive! I offered him a Free 45 Minute deep dive zoom meeting on Saturday and in the meantime I have given suggestions of areas where he could achieve his dream to live on the coast and contacts to assist him with financial planning and conveyancing. The Sunshine Coast and Brisbane have amazing golden nuggets of opportunity that we can tap into through our amazing real estate connections. We often have off market properties and prelistings coming across our desks that can actually mean people can achieve their property dreams! The moral of this story is DON'T ASSUME WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY TELL YOU ABOUT PROPERTY MARKETS IS 100% TRUE! Think about when you choose say a new sofa. Until you actually start searching you don't know what you can get for your money. 06.01.2022 25 Years Ago! So much has changed! I wrote this training manual tapping it out on a typewriter and printing one page at a time and proof reading it and often having to rewrite the whole thing for one error... There was no "magic" cut & past option, I literally did cut and paste charts and pictures onto pieces of paper then got them copied at a printers and then got them onto slides to present one page at a time on a projector. It took forever! I delivered this course to 1000's of employees of the UK Government and Private Corporations as well as adapting it for senior school students and their parents to prepare them for examination stress and for my private clients. Looking back there was no Facebook, Instagram or Linkedin to connect us, it was letter writing and landline phone calls and waiting days often weeks before you got a reply or a call. There was no "hiding" behind technology and no immediate gratification, and every step forward was through learning how to connect with human nature. Yep, I can hear the groan and I know we have to move forward and I for one enjoy the challenge. I am part of the dinosaur generation who have had to negotiate through so many changes and now using all the platform's available and being able to connect with people around the world with just a click of a post key is fantastic. However, there is a downside. So much damage can be made by people who don't even really know you, causing the same stress that I was writing about 25 years ago. So have we really moved forward? Of course we have but sometimes just think about how a text message or an email can cause so much stress and anxiety. Before you press that send button just consider how this could affect that person's mental health. I probably won't be around in 25 years time but who knows what the world and technology will look like. I have mixed emotions but regardless of what I think it will be a very different world during the next 25 year cycle. All I know is that ALL relationships regardless of internet platforms, are formed by real human to human interaction.

03.01.2022 How's your day been? Mine started with a few phone calls and a zoom meeting which I finished at midday. I said to myself I feel like doing something physical... Not one for gym's, my Lycra days are well past there sell by date, swimming is my fitness regime but water still a tad on the cool side, I then thought to myself I know I can get the pressure hose out and clean the patio....only take an hour! Oh yeah! Who was I kidding 3 and a 1/4 hours later after getting into a spaghetti type mess with extension cable and hose which had a few kinks in it, soaking wet with more water on me than the pavers and my urge to then start pruning back a few plants, unblocking the water feature and finding a few tadpoles in the pond, my enthusiasm was just getting a tad cranky During all this, I then start thinking what baking will I do tomorrow and what's for dinner tonight! Well getting myself in a rather spaghetti style of hose & wire mess I thought I'm going to keep on this theme and make a spagbol! After a nice shower and chilling out I am now sitting down with a nice cup of Earl Grey tea a copy of the Weekend Australian and feeling accomplished and knackered Now to decide on what Netflix excitement to chose for tonight? HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!

He is local to the Sunshine Coast so he knows that he has to act fast as he has been watching the market. His brief is precise, just the way we like !
