18.01.2022 MONDAY MAGNATISM! Conversations we have had with Interstate clients wanting to come to live in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, all have a common thread. "WE WA...NT TO LIVE A MORE BALANCED LIFESTYLE AND BRISBANE & THE SUNSHINE COAST OFFERS THAT TO US". Not everyone wants to be by the beach but may be looking for a tree change, where they can work & play on larger blocks in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Interstate migration to the Sunshine Coast & Brisbane has always been high. However, with some Buyers being in lock-down due to Covid, this has allowed them to consider their future & deciding to move from the highly populated cities of Melbourne & Sydney, seems to be the main reason plus the Qld climate. For some this is a huge move from states they were born, lived, and worked in for some years. However, what the real mindset change is for people who can now work from home practically anywhere, & retirees being able to capitalise on their city property sales & being able to buy similar properties at a lower cost in SE Queensland, makes it a very desirable move. Once borders open freely, people may change their minds, but this is already coming into conversations. Buyers are contemplating buying holidays homes suitable to permanently move into, but rent out before making a final decision. Properties they are looking for are houses close to the beach or in the hinterland towns, where within 10 minutes they can be on the beach or in the leafy suburbs of North Brisbane near the river. This allows for staged migration with rental properties currently at a premium as stocks are low. They are more interested in getting into a good school catchment than about the house so this information is very important to them.
