22.01.2022 Today is National Police Remembrance Day where we remember police officers who have died while serving in their jurisdictions. Remembrance Day is a sobering reminder of how the ordinary can turn into the extraordinary, and the potential dangers that officers sometimes face while trying to protect their communities. Today is also a time to reflect on the hard work and dedication of all officers and the contribution they make to the community. 21.01.2022 A beautiful day to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of Tasmania’s first railway at the Tasmanian Transport Museum with Kristie Johnston, Rod Prince, Bec Thomas, Deputy Mayor Glenorchy City Council, Michael Ferguson, Elise Archer MP and CEO of TasRail, Steven Dietrich. It was wonderful to see the museum’s president, Rod Prince, and fellow volunteers so happy with the official handover of the last English Electric Corporation locomotive built in Australia. Ad...ditionally, 5 kilometres of unused rail corridor between Elwick Rd and Mentmore St has been handed to the museum which will greatly expand their heritage rail operations meaning longer train rides for families to enjoy! #suehickeygetsthingsdone

To further assist those vulnerable people in the community, Neonatal Kitten Rescue are also calling for donations of non-perishable food items. 11.01.2022 I’m proud to be sponsoring The North Hobart Football Club this year and it was fabulous to enjoy today’s 3 point win from the Plaister Stand, alongside passionate club president, Craig Martin! Such a great spot to view the footy from, but sadly not accessible for people with mobility issues and I am advocating strongly for funding to install a lift so this facility is accessible for all. Congratulations to Glenorchy District Football Club 'RSEA Magpies' player Jaye Bowden o...n a wonderful career and best wishes on moving on to the next chapter. #shgetsthingsdone
