23.01.2022 Who will be your witness on your Wedding Day? How do you choose someone to play this important role during your wedding ceremony? The decision you make about who will take on the role of legal witness for your wedding ceremony should be considered carefully and if you would like to talk further to me about this, please call me on 0404892588 or email me on [email protected]

19.01.2022 Meet this beautiful couple! This bride and groom are one of the sweetest couples I have met. Gisella has found her true love being married tor the first time in her life, to her now husband, at the age of 69. She made a stunning bride, and looking at the sheer joy in their faces, her husband Gabriel, was thrilled and overjoyed to have her by his side. They included the candle ceremony in their wedding ceremony which was delightful to watch as they joined to single flames fro...m two single candles, into on flame, representing their new life together. Their candles had their names on them and were beautifully presented. The decorations organised by family and friends, made the setting extremely stunning, and they had a family friend singing as Gisella walked down the aisle. Congratulations to our new Mr and Mrs and we wish them all the very best for an amazing life ahead!. 17.01.2022 Winter Weddings In Australia spring weddings are most popular. It is such a busy social season. It sometimes means the couple competes for social space at venues and with family and friends. Winter weddings in many parts of Australia are also magical. In south east Queensland we have fantastic winter weather with the best blue skies and amazing sunsets. A Friday afternoon into evening wedding during the winter months provides a much better option financially ... just somethi...ng to think about! This is a sunset we snapped last Sunday on the Gold Coast it was the end of a perfectly blue sky and a warm winter day. There is nothing like the warm winter sun in this part of the world. Call us if you would like to talk more about your wedding day ... I would love to be your civil celebrant and help you through your wedding day www.celebrationswithlove.com #weddings #globalweddings #destinationweddings #happyeverafter #honeymoon #lovestruck #weddingproposals #engaged See more

17.01.2022 The Irish Tradition of Ring Warming One of my favourite traditions that more and more of my couples are incorporating in their wedding ceremony is the Irish tradition of ring warming. This means that each one of their guests will hold the rings for a moment, as they are passed around during the wedding ceremony, and as they hold the rings, they make a silent wish for the couple, for their marriage and for their years of life together.... This is a beautiful tradition, and a way of truly engaging your guests as well. I usually explain about the Ring Warming tradition at the commencement of the ceremony, and the rings are passed around. They are returned during the ceremony when we require them, and when they are placed on my bride and grooms fingers, they have been blessed with the warmth, love and wishes of each one of their guests! For many this makes the rings more meaningful, and also the wedding ceremony.

09.01.2022 Did you know that you have to apply for your marriage certificate after your wedding day?You obtain it from Births Deaths and Marriages. The Queensland office offers a package with a commemorative certificate and your official certificate. We purchased this one which is a new style for our couple Jacob and Bianca. We were so pleased to hear they loved it! They have framed it in their new home. www.celebrationswithlove.com #weddings#weekends#engaged#love#marriage#ceremonies#forever-after#happy-ever-after#celebrations

07.01.2022 More Irish Traditions 1. Traditionally in Ireland, brides wore blue dresses, as it was seen as the colour of true love and purity. However, over time this tradition faded and the white dress became popular. The something blue would still be incorporated into the brides’ accessories be it on a garter, tied around the bouquet or sewn into the underneath of the dress. Green - although a symbol of Ireland was always deemed to be unlucky although this superstition has large...Continue reading

03.01.2022 Week Day Weddings! It seems Australians are keeping to tradition with the most popular day to get married being a Saturday. This is followed by Friday and then a Sunday. With Week Day weddings, there is no particular day which is most popular. There are however, a few advantages of having a week day wedding, especially if you give your guests enough notice. Some guests look forward to setting the day aside for the wedding day - rather than trying to fit it into their normal b...usy Saturday, with children's sport, weekly chores etc. This creates a more relaxed environment for your guests. Not to mention the financial advantages, as many restaurants and wedding venues are quiet during the week. They are happy to have your business, and you are not competing so much with others for your favourite venue on your special day. We travel anywhere to marry people. We have even travelled to China a few times to perform a commitment ceremony, followed by an Australian Registered Wedding ceremony in Australia. Some of our couples have had their wedding ceremony on a cruise where we have come on board just prior to sailing to officiate their wedding in a special room appointed by the Captain! No matter what day of the week, or the location - we would love to work with you to make your wedding ceremony as unique as you are! We specialise in calm, enjoyable and heart felt ceremonies designed for each of our couples. 02.01.2022 THROW BACK THURSDAY! Double Weddings . Double Fun or Double Trouble? Our Throwback Thursday photo is of a double wedding. We are going back to the late 80s early 90s. I remember it well. It was a really busy but fun ceremony. ... It was a double wedding. This means two brides, two bridegrooms two sets of bridesmaids and groomsmen. It was in Queens Park Chapel, and it was wonderful! Some things to think about if you are considering a double wedding is the time it takes for the ceremony to take place as everything is doubled just the paperwork alone, the photographer also may need more time to take individual couple photos. The wedding party consumes many people and you may have to think about your ceremonial venue and whether it can cater for a large wedding party. The wedding vows must be said by each couple during the ceremony. If someone, traditionally your father, is walking you down the aisle, he will have to bring both of you to your respective grooms if it is the brides that share the same father. You might like to consider if you want to share that moment or have your own special moment with your Dad. There are many other considerations as well like the colour of the bridesmaids, can the couples agree on this, or do you have two different colours. It may be possible to lose a little bit of your uniqueness as the couples may have to compromise as they join their thoughts, values, and wedding ceremony into one. Some couples prefer to have more of two individual weddings under the one wedding day but this does take a lot of time for the guests as well as the bridal party. It could also be fun and exciting to have a double wedding, especially if you are a twin, or have close siblings as you both go through the same experience together. Cost wise it may work out a little better and for your family and friends they only have one occasion to worry about!
