24.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh, VA, and its day 33 of my Facebook live challenge for those of you playing along at home. I want to talk today about education, about learning, teaching. One of my passions is to learn to be a lifelong learner. And that means just always, were constantly evolving and we just... Well, I do. I crave learning when my brain is ready, and it has been ready the last few months, which Ive been impatient with it previously, but whatever it is, my brain has ope...ned up and taken on new knowledge and lots and lots of new information. And I think that is definitely off this challenge that Im doing. Maybe it is turning up every day here and just talking and thinking more about what I like to share, what I like to share about myself and I love finding connections with people. So its just connecting, and if one person is watching and might see it later on and it resonates with them, well, thats definitely a win in my book. So to learn to teach personal development or professional development, I think for me, theyre tied in together, and its all... Affirmations, positive thinking. When youve had depression for a long time and you go through the cognitive strategies to train your brain to question the negative thoughts, you cant help but see the positive. And its a great way to be. And youll find a solution or youll work around problems because youll find a creative solution. You wont find an excuse. Youll find a solution instead. So I just love to have that in the background. Also, so just set aside time to feed your brain, to feed your soul. And feeding your brain, depending on how you learn, it may be reading. It may be writing. It may be listening. It may be watching. So YouTube has got so many tutorials. So maybe just one day you might have 10 minutes and go, "Oh, Im just going to find a tutorial on something I always wanted to learn." And you might want to listen to a podcast, or you might want to read. Just feed your brain, feed your soul and learn, and then we can teach. So enjoy this wonderful Monday evening, and I will see you tomorrow. Thank you. Bye. See more

22.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh VA, and its day 26 of my Facebook Live Challenge. Last week, I shared one of my passions is art, and I love art galleries and painting and drawing and being artistic. Also, something I love to do is laugh; I have a very distinctive laugh. When Im out in public, I laugh and people often look around and see that Ive laughed a little bit too loud, and I feel like saying, "Is it illegal to laugh?" Because laughter is, I think its a good thing. I always th...Continue reading
22.01.2022 I was listening to some coaching calls in the challenge Im doing and theyre talking about 30 days of publishing. Thats what theyve encouraged us to do. And its 30 days... Well its a 30 day challenge, but its also 30 days because they say it takes 40 days to create a new habit, 20 days to break an old habit, 20 days to form new neural pathways. So by the time you get to 31, obviously its natural and its something that you keep doing. So thats really handy to know. #wellness #conscious #listening #publishing #blog #ofachallenge #neuralpathways #encouraged #positivechange #habits #new #old #uncomfortable #talking
21.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh VA and its day 27 of my Facebook Live challenge. Today has been very exhausting. I just woke up and had breakfast. Did a little bit of work. Had a Zoom call with a client. And then I just felt this overwhelming sense of exhaustion. So I just thought, "Thats it. Off to bed." Went to sleep for a few hours. And thats the reality of mental health is that it exhausts. You just feel literally exhausted and sometimes, some days you dont feel like having a sh...ower. You just go and lay in bed, have a sleep for a few hours, and get up and feel better. I did that today, so extreme self-care day. And because of course, this week Im talking about depression and anxiety. Tomorrow being, "Are you okay?" day. So yeah, just wanted to, just to say, if you feel tired for any reason, just to take it easy and to look after yourself. And be kind to you. So if you need to, rest up and even if you dont, just put your feet up, even for 10 minutes or half an hour. Just recharge your batteries. So thats me for today. Thank you and I will speak to you tomorrow. Bye. See more

20.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh, VA, and its day 31 of my Facebook Live Challenge. Im so excited to be creating this week. Ive been creating the first step of my funnel, my click funnel, and it is very exciting and I just need a couple of people to volunteer to help me test it. And its some templates and its very cool and lots of fun, and you dont need any technical experience whatsoever. I just want to test it. I have gone over it in my head and tried it and tweaked it and everyt...hing. So I just would love a couple of people to put their hands up and say, "Yes, please. I can help you." So that would be marvellous. And the idea is just getting feedback, just testing, measuring, not the perfectionist streak coming out, but just making sure its user friendly. And yeah. So before I put it out into the big, huge, big world. So yeah. So lots of fun creating and just wanting to find out if its user friendly. So yeah, please put yes, under this video and I will be in contact with you. Thank you very much and have a good Saturday night. See you. Bye. See more

20.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh VA, and its day 38 of my Facebook live challenge. Today is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. And its one of the wonderful days I found online just to share on social media, to have a chat and also just to have fun and like, why not talk like a pirate? So Im going to give it my best go. Shiver me timbers. Mateys, its Talk Like A Pirate Day. I cant do this, but thats okay. Its all about fun. And its all about having a go and making a fool of yourself and just, yeah. Ahoy, ahoy there. Oh golly. Ive got my husbands mask on my head. Anyway, I will catch up with you tomorrow when Im hopefully in more of a serious mood, but its just good to have a laugh and to talk like a pirate if you can. Ahoy.
19.01.2022 Hi. Its Sue McVeigh VA, and its day 27 of my Facebook live challenge. Today is my husbands 50th birthday. Yes, Im married to a younger man. And since family is my highest value, I am quickly having a chat to say hi and to appreciate everything you have, because Im just about to make him a surprise scrapbook, and also serve up a beautiful family meal for the two of us and our three gorgeous children, and be grateful and thankful for him in our lives. He drives us crazy and we drive him crazy, and it all works. So just, yeah, just celebrate, enjoy, love, eat, drink, have a cuppa, and celebrate. Thank you. Bye.
19.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh, VA, and its day 35 of my Facebook Live challenge. And today I want to talk about my business mission statement, and it is basically a quote that I fell in love with years ago. And it is, "We are each of us angels with only one wing and we can only fly by embracing each other." Luciano de Crescenzo. And it just sums up what my business is all about and that abundance mindset is only possible when we help others fly. So in business, in life, of course, wh...ere we can walk the path alone, but it helps if you have someone else to hold your hand, to take you through the good times, the bad times, but also you dont have to go through it alone. So that is why on my logo is a wing and its one wing, because Im the one wing. When joined to the wing, one wing of my clients, they can fly. And I fly in the process because thats how it works. Thats how abundance works, is working together we can achieve so much. And its a great, great thing to be working with people who understand that mission statement. And thats why they connect with me because it is a spiritual concept as well. Well, I believe we have angels looking after us all the time. So for me, angel is something that resonates with me. Yeah, I just sort of keep getting these signs. Thats also another thing is signs and have people that had the 1111, its 1111. And each time it was 11 past 11 oclock, they put 1111 and I used to wonder what they were talking about. And one day I was on a bus trip with a friend, Maddie, and she said, "Oh, its angel wings. If you draw the lines between the 11s, its angel wings." And I said, "Oh, Ive got a great quote about angel wings." And then everything sort of fell into place. I thought thats what it is. That will be my mission statement. So I hope that explains why sometimes youll see one wing on, well, its my logo, of course, which I designed, but you might just see it in the corner of a photo that Im sharing or on an Instagram post. Its because one wing is what my business is all about. Ive got one wing, my client has another, and then together we can fly. So thank you very much. And I will see you tomorrow. Bye. See more
19.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh, VA, and its day 40 of my Facebook Live challenge, 40 days in a row, publishing, doing Facebook Live, and being uncomfortable, and not knowing what to say, and just saying whatevers on my mind, and here I am. So it is really good to be at day 40. Today is World Gratitude Day. So theres lots to be grateful for. They say if you choose three things a day that youre grateful for and write them down, that it starts to set a new pattern for you to be gratef...ul for what you have, not what you dont have. Also, it allows abundance to come in to you. So I am grateful for my family, for my happy, healthy family. For fresh air through the windows and doors with the bit of spring sunshine, clean tap water, warm showers, meals around our table, laughing with the family, having lots of games, playing games and cards, and grateful for drawing. Grateful for Lego today, John and I created some Lego together. Im grateful for being able to work from home and work around the family. Im grateful for my husband who is working at the moment, and grateful for our kids who are amazing, amazing helpers, amazing everything. Im grateful for being alive. Thats a good thing. Grateful for friendship, for fun, for laughter. Grateful for time away, and grateful for time at home, and grateful for clean, fresh sheets in the bed. Grateful for coffee, and food, and shelter, of course. Im also grateful that I get to live the life that I do. I sometimes feel like I should apologize, but Im really grateful to have a wonderful supportive husband, and kids who are amazing, and extended family and friends and a lot ... Theres so much to be grateful for. Amazing clients, wonderful support system, networking friends. Just, yeah, lots and lots to be grateful for. So thank you for listening, and for watching, and for reading, just for supporting me. So I will say good night on day 40, and Ill see you tomorrow. Thank you. Bye. See more
19.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh VA. Its day 36 of my Facebook Live challenge. Tonight, I want to talk about websites. Mine is a work in progress because Im busy working on my clients work, so Ill get to it. But I worked for a client in the last few days who needs to update her website. Its probably maybe a few years old, five years since shes refreshed it and given it an update. So, just things to look out for are: your contact details, have they changed? You need to update those.... Your about information. If its time-based, like, "Married for 25 years," or, "Married for 27," update all that. Anything else youve been doing within your business, update that. New testimonials, which are always fantastic. Your contact details. If you add a map, if youve got an actual business. Because weve got to be prepared for when the floodgates open. So, yeah, lots of things. Also, check that your links are working. If you have a link going from your Facebook or your Instagram to your website, just double-check that everything is linked and working together. Also, maybe just ask a friend or post in a Facebook group, and say, "Look, can somebody just go over my website, just double-check everything?" Contact forms. If you send a test contact form, make sure that it goes to the correct address and everythings still all linked there. And then, while theyre having a look at your contact page, maybe put in a lead magnet, like a downloadable PDF or something that can add value to your clients or your audience, so that you can collect email addresses for a mailing list and they get a great resource too. Theyre just a couple of things to look out for on your website. And yeah, if youre going to... In my clients case, she has a website developer. So, rather than her telling me, and Im telling him, Ive created, of course, a presentation in Canva and screenshot the pages of her website that we need updated and clearly marked where we need things removed, replaced, Google Drive links to the new images, so that its very clear when he receives it, the website developer, that everything is very straightforward and comprehensive so that he can concentrate on just doing what he has to do and not going backwards and forwards, asking questions. Because sometimes, that takes a bit of time out of that process. So, yeah. So, websites: make sure that everythings working. And yeah, if you want to drop your own website in the comments here, feel free to because I will have a look over it and let you know. We can have a chat and see if I can help you out. Thank you again, and I will see you tomorrow. Bye. See more
18.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh VA and its day 39 of my Facebook live challenge. Today Im talking about social media scheduling and I use a few different platforms or few different methods to schedule mine and my clients social media posts, mainly on Facebook and Instagram. Facebook have a great inbuilt Creator Studio, which you can use to share to Instagram on a business page, and then to copy that to Facebook. So thats very, very helpful. The one I use for my own business is Later... L-A-T-E-R and that is ... I use the paid version, which is not very pricey, but after you start using it for a few weeks, it works out the best time for you to post on Instagram, which is really, really handy. So thats why some days its not consistent, its not the same time you think, "Okay, Im going to post every day at 7:00 AM," which I used to do and it just depends on when your audience is interacting with your posts, when theyre scrolling through. It seems that every day is different and Saturdays is 6:30 AM, which I find amazing and always forget to post then, but yeah, its just really helpful to have an idea about when the best time is for your audience to be looking at your posts. Also in Later, you upload your images and then just drag them across to the calendar and open it. You type in all your caption and your hashtags and then you schedule it for what day or time you need it and it just automatically does it. So, it takes that off my mind for the week and because I have scheduled all of mine and my clients Facebook, Instagram posts, I can concentrate on my other work that I have to do. So, I just love to talk about being organized, being planned, having it all set up so youve got the rest of your week. So Later is the app that I use, which you can use on the phone and computer, or Facebook has a Creator Studio, which is in a business page. So happy scheduling and I will speak to you tomorrow. Thank you, bye. See more

17.01.2022 Day #80 Facebook Live Challenge
17.01.2022 Last week, I shared one of my passions is art, and I love art galleries and painting and drawing and being artistic. Also, something I love to do is laugh; I have a very distinctive laugh. When Im out in public, I laugh and people often look around and see that Ive laughed a little bit too loud, and I feel like saying, "Is it illegal to laugh?" Because laughter is, I think its a good thing. I always thought it was a good thing, but I think that laughter is a cure for so ma...ny things. So many things. When I was diagnosed with depression, well over 20 years ago, my first psychiatrist said, "Youll look at depression and youll look at it like its a Seinfeld episode." And at the time, it wasnt funny to me. I was too paranoid and too ... I wasnt going to be thinking of it like that; it was quite serious. But having lived with it and it challenges my brain to have to think positive thoughts, and Im very grateful to have depression and to have had it because it makes me question my thoughts and Ive trained my brain to think positive. And sometimes its okay to not be like that, but it just works better for my brain if Im thinking in positive and have a solution thats positive. And laughing; laughing is good. Its good for the health. #ruok See more

13.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh VA and its Day 21 of my Facebook Live Challenge. 21 today. It used to be 21, you get the key to the door because youve never been 21 before. And the key I remember from my 21st, I should say both of my parties - two parties - a family one and one for friends and family too and you theres a key, I dont know if they still do that these days. Like a wooden sort of outside and inside its a cardboard paper and everyone writes a wish on the inside of the... key and then you keep that for forever and theyre quite, you know, quite a good size key. So Ijust thought of 21 days of publishing and of sharing myself and my business I thought whose key do you need to write on? Is it somebody that has provided amazing service recently? Is it a family or a friend who has made isolation that bit easier or sweeter? Just yeah think of who you like to give a shout out to this week because its, you know in business, especially thats what, thats where I think of, you know writing reviews and testimonials for a service or a product that youre happy with, but also the other side of it too is if youre not and and the company dont know if if youre not happy with the quality of the goods unless you tell them, and so either way but also Im always trying my best to see the positive in everything and yeah just need to thank, also for the retail for the supermarket workers and early on in the pandemic I started thanking them for their service and they looked surprised and some of them were shocked and they just said even before this started that theyre used to getting yelled at and used to being told off and that just blows my mind! But they were so grateful and so surprised and shocked by receiving a compliment and you know what theyre out there every day providing service to us at their own risk as are the wonderful frontline workers but you know even all the frontline workers too nurses and doctors and ambulance, fire, everyone, police. We just need to thank somebody for what theyre doing and you know so yeah whos key do you want to write on? Go and write on someones key for their 21st birthday wish, their shout out, their review and when somebodys doing something really well say thank you so thats it. Thank you see, you tomorrow, bye. 13.01.2022 If you feel like somethings not quite the same with someone you know theres something going on in their life or you notice a change in what theyre saying or doing - trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them Are you OK? If someone says theyre not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. That conversation could change, or even save, their life.
13.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh VA and it is Day 22 of my Facebook Live Challenge and I am looking forward to sharing more about me and what else I have passion in, what I love in my life, of course is my family but also personally I love art, I love painting and drawing and creating, I have always loved it from as long as I can remember and fond memories of walking into the art room at primary school and smelling melted wax and high school with our teacher Miss Tetley smoking in the st...oreroom. Just always loved art and one of my happy places is the gallery - National Gallery Victoria and just for somewhere, like I think thats my first thing that I really want to do when were out of lockdown and I have a day to myself, is just to go to the gallery by myself and just walk through take my time take it all in and it its like it recharges my soul its just it makes me feel like me. So yes, I just wanted to share that I am an art lover, a frustrated art teacher. I would love to be an art teacher but I just dont want to do the teaching bit - learning about teaching - so its you know just doing arts and crafts with my kids is probably the most youll get out of me. Yeah, an art lover. So what else are we passionate about? What are your passions? Thank you, see ya. See more

06.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh, VA. Its day 37 of my Facebook Live challenge, and it is Friday. Thank God its Friday. Its the last day of term three, a long term with the remote learning. Were all exhausted, but, you know, everyone is going through the same thing, so were just thankful that we can have a couple of weeks off school and then hopefully back in the second week of term. So that will be good. And yeah, just to say hi, and its Friday, and just to take some time out on the weekend for yourself. Run a nice bath, and light some candles, and turn the light off. Do some meditation, go for a walk, read a book. Just do something for yourself that will recharge your batteries, and get ready for a weekend of relaxation and just, yeah, rejuvenation. All right. I will see you all tomorrow, and thank you. Goodbye.
06.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh, VA, and Im outside today. That all rhymes, and it is Day 29 of my Facebook Live Challenge. Ive been talked into coming to the park for a 40-minute outing in the sunshine and nature, and I feel better already being out here. But yeah, just still a bit tired, but fine. Everythings fine. So RUOK? day. I just saw a post before that a Facebook friend put on there just saying it doesnt take one day. All the people who need help probably wont reach out tod...ay, so just to be open to contacting, even if its one person a day, just contacting somebody just to say "Hi, how you going?" whether it be a phone call message, its something that we should be doing all the time. Not should be, but I like to do that, have people in mind and go, "Ill check up on them." They may have shared this or I want to catch up on them because I know people do that to me. It makes me feel accountable in a way, but also feel really loved and cared for. So make sure you check in with somebody any day, not just today. So have a good one and I will see you tomorrow. Bye.
04.01.2022 Day #84 Facebook Live Challenge
04.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh, VA, and its Day 24 of my Facebook Live Challenge. I was listening to some coaching calls in the challenge Im doing and theyre talking about 30 days of publishing. Thats what theyve encouraged us to do. And its 30 days... Well its a 30 day challenge, but its also 30 days because they say it takes 40 days to create a new habit, 20 days to break an old habit, 20 days to form new neural pathways. So by the time you get to 31, obviously its natural a...nd its something that you keep doing. So thats really handy to know. I think because for me, the first 20 days, its probably like youve got that voice in your head thats trying to talk you out of it. So its trying to tell you, "You dont have to do it. Oh, you can do it tomorrow," and all that. Its just trying to push through that barrier. And because it is so uncomfortable in the early days, you really just think, "Oh, just dont record anything today." So thats where I imagine thats for me why that 20 days was a good milestone. So, 24. Yeah, I thought of how many days for things or new habits. Its something I started a month before I was 50. So in November last year I started doing a five-step skincare routine. So I thought it was about time that I look after my skin so that is 310 days I have been looking after my skin and it makes a difference and I feel good. And if I forget, or if I do it later in the day, something just seems to be missing. And its just such a ritual now. Its basically a ritual I have created that in myself to go, "That makes me feel good." And almost the aromatic aspect of the skincare, it just makes me feel good and feel fresh. So I thought, "Theres lots of things." Yeah, after this is over, I might try and start new habits. Who knows? But yeah, I just thought I would share that. So yeah, 40 days. It was 20 days to get rid of the old habits and 20 days to create new ones. So lets do it. Lets create some really positive change, positive habits. Thank you. Bye. See more
03.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh VA. Its day 30 of my Facebook live challenge. I made it. I made it to 30 days. Every day, doing a Facebook live challenge, then downloading the video, uploading it, the audio portion, to a podcast, and having it transcribed the words in a blog. So, I have been doing that for 30 days in a row. I feel amazing. I feel much more comfortable. It is definitely a habit. And Im pretty sure ... no, I am 100% sure that Im going to keep on doing it. Im going to ...keep on going. Its like a magnet to positivity and to abundance and everything. I just love it. And my perfectionist streak has just had to go. And Ive just ... as they say, just show up and just keep doing it. Keep practicing, keep turning up, just sharing myself and yeah ... So, golly, thank you for your support. I will keep on, Ill keep going. Yeah, theres lots to celebrate. 30 days and ... yeah, thats all. Have a good weekend. Ill definitely see you tomorrow. 31. Thank you. Bye. See more

01.01.2022 Day #85 Facebook Live Challenge
01.01.2022 Hi, its Sue McVeigh, VA, and its day 32 of my Facebook Live Challenge. I was looking for some really interesting and fun facts or fun tidbits to put in my social media and for my clients. And I came across timeanddate.com and it was holidays fun. So I thought, "Oh, Im all about fun. Youve got to look into this." So one of them was that today is Roald Dahl Day. So he is, was a childrens author, very, very famous childrens author, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantas...tic Mr. Fox, and Matilda, which I didnt read as a child, but my kids introduced me to the movie, the DVD. And I was choosing a couple of quotes today to share. One of them I did share on Instagram and Facebook. If you want to have a look over there. It was, "Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world." And I think that is really, really very apt for our time at the moment with the world and just, if love and kindness could heal, it would just be such a better place. So just made me, yeah, made me think what a lovely quote for today. And there was another one from Matilda and it was, "Never do anything by halves if you want to get away with it. Be outrageous. Go the whole hog. Make sure everything you do is so completely crazy its unbelievable." And I just, I love these quotes and you know, youve got to play hard. Youve got to go out there and do it. Youre worried about what youre going to post on social media? Do it. Just keep posting, keep sharing because somebody out there, it will mean something to them. And then you just keep sharing and sharing. And you just dont know because social media is about connection. Lifes about connection, but social media is about connection. So its who youre going to resonate with, who youre going to connect to as a person. So its just sharing, its putting yourself out there and not being worried about not being liked or not sharing the right thing. Just keep sharing because then when people comment, when they share it, you will see what works and what doesnt. So this is a lot that Ive been learning lately about social media. But yes. So Roald Dahl Day, just wanted to... Its the actual, the anniversary of his birthday and its an unofficial holiday, but I am going to claim it and just say, enjoy. I enjoyed reading his books as a kid and reading them to my kids and now theyre reading them to me. So yeah. Thank you. And I will see you tomorrow. Bye. See more
